Certificate of Residence for Thai driver's license. Previously, the yellow book of property condo was enough for the above. But I now read: “Original present resident address in Thailand certify from embassy / immigration bureau (valid for 1 year) or work permit (with present resident address identified) and original photo copy or work permit with original and photo copy”

I have been in possession of the yellow house book and pink ID card for several months now. I bought this to make it easier to prove my home address to authorities. Yesterday when attempting to renew my two year Thai driver's license and was told to go to the tourist police for proof of address as my yellow book is less than a year old.

We have a house here in Thailand and I am in possession of the yellow house book. My question: must the original be presented to the embassy or is a copy sufficient? It seems that if you have a house in Thailand you fall into a category that can get an entry permit more easily.

What exactly is meant by the yellow book and the blue book. I own a condo, will I be in a yellow book or a blue book? What's the difference between the two?

I have had a yellow house booklet and the accompanying ID card for foreigners for over a year, but the month of birth was wrong, October instead of March. I don't know how this is possible, just a typo.
How do you do a change of address in the yellow book?
I understand on the Amphur that the holder of the address where I am now registered must go to the Amphur to deregister me there first. Do I have to go to the Amphur to register at the new address?

Reader question: Moving in Thailand and the yellow book
As a happy man now living alone, in possession of a 'yellow home book', I am moving to a resort in another province far away from my ex-thailove. But now I have some questions.
Are there people, so expats, who are registered in their house book? Of course, this only applies to a purchased house. And by that I mean of course the yellow house book for foreigners that you can request from your “AMPHUR”.
My girlfriend would like me to have the Yellow Booklet (Tabien Baan) made. She thinks I'll be better protected in case something happens to her and her family comes to claim the house we live in. It's in her name (yes, I know).
I would like to know how to pass the information for a yellow book. I went to the government of Ban Muang and they want information about income marriage etc etc on a form in Thai.
