Thailand Visa Question No. 135/23: New Elite Visa?
On the site expatden.com I read that the current Thaland Elite visa will expire on September 15, 2023. As of October 1, 2023, new Elite visas will be introduced. Is this information correct?
TB Immigration Information Letter No. 015/23: Non-immigrant O – Extension of residence period
I'm only in Thailand so not really "experienced". I am Dutch and I entered Thailand with an immigrant non-O visa in February 2023, 90 days stay and single entry.
What are the experiences with the Thailand Elite visa system?
TB Immigration Info Brief 020/21: Immigration Samui year extension – Thailand Elite visa
For several years I have been staying in Thailand with an Elite visa. Since I traveled very regularly until 2020, there was never a need for 90 days of notifications, let alone an extension, as every entry automatically gives a year's stay. Of course I always did the TM30, a small effort since that goes online.
Reader Submission: Thai Elite card has new options!
New maps have been added to Thailand Elite (Source: thailandelite.com). This includes a green card for 5 years with an extensive Health benefit plan, including COVID insurance. This for only 1.5 million Baht. Approx 42.000 Euros. But….if younger than 55!
Are there any Belgians who were able to travel to Thailand with a Thailand Elite Visa in these Corona times? Or does anyone know someone who has been allowed to leave in these times with such an Elite visa? I am about to pay for this visa but this is a very expensive joke and so I would like some certainty before I pay.
Thailand Visa Question No. 174/20: Non-Immigrant OA – Visa/Stay Period Expires During Quarantine
Based on my Non-Immigrant OA visa, I can return to Thailand under certain conditions. Now my visa expires when I'm quarantined. I have decided to apply for a Thailand Elite visa, but there are several weeks between the issuing of this visa and the expiration of my old one. What is my situation in the meantime if I am stuck in my hotel room due to quarantine and there is no way to reach the Immigration Service? Is there a regular tourist visa? Or an exception situation?
I have an account with Bangkok bank in Thailand. Now I have to transfer the membership amount of my Elite card (visa) from the Bangkok bank to the Krung Thai Bank. I have the Bangkok bank app on my phone and can therefore transfer the money.
Have never done this before and ask advice on how to do this in practice? Have all beneficiary details.
TB Immigration Info Letter 068/20: Thailand Elite Card Membership
Let me get straight to the point… the Thailand Elite Card, what a relief! I can recommend everyone to consider this and especially to do it. No more hassle with immigration. That's over, and I shouldn't draw most of you, I thought.
Are there any Dutch people who have only entered Thailand on their Thailand Elite card visa? I am very curious about this. I have an application pending and am waiting for approval, after which I can start preparing the necessary documents.
Yesterday we wrote about a number of groups of foreigners who can return to Thailand on August 4, 2020, but Bangkok Post was once again incomplete. Today therefore the complete list issued by the Thai government.
TB Immigration Info Brief 048/20: Request for entry for Thai Elite Visa holders accepted in principle, but not yet effective.
Thailand Elite Visa holders will soon be allowed to travel to Thailand. Received the following email yesterday from Thailand Elite regarding permission to re-enter Thailand:
Reader question: Elite Card possible to enter Thailand?
I understand that in “phase 6” Elite Card holders will probably also be allowed back into Thailand. I also read that there are currently many applications for the Elite Card from Hong Kong from people who want to leave. Could there possibly be an opportunity for us? I am willing to do anything to get back into the country.
CCSA spokesperson Taweesilp made some statements about the sixth phase of lockdown easing yesterday. It is very likely that 5 groups of foreigners are allowed to re-enter Thailand. The Thai government will make a decision on this on Tuesday.
Can people with the Thailand Elite Card also go to Thailand now or will they be given priority as soon as more foreigners are admitted? I haven't heard or read anything about it.
Thailand visa question No. 043/20: Convert from OA to O
The Non-Immigrant OA visa has been linked to Thai health insurance for almost 4 months now. No annual extension without this insurance. And yet I see few panic reactions from people, in this case of a retirement visa, almost only older people, sometimes into their late eighties. Often people who no longer have any accommodation options in Europe.
