Can you advise me? Am disabled and would still like to go to Thailand on holiday. By disabled I mean an upper leg amputation, so I can't walk very far. In the meantime I have a friend who comes there regularly, that he has not yet seen a scooter there.
Reader question: Disabled and to Koh Phangan
My plan is to travel from the cold in the Netherlands to sun and beach on Koh Phangan. I am disabled and have very little energy. And am looking for the most feasible enjoyable way to get there :).
Soon I will leave for beautiful Thailand again. After a year of buffalo and saving vacation days... I'm really ready again. Unfortunately I have a minor disability. Standing for long periods is a problem. This is no problem from Schiphol to the gates. However, on Suvarnabhumi this is unfortunately different. I'm already dreading those long queues for passport control.
My right leg had to be amputated due to an accident at work. Here in Belgium it is not a problem for me to drive a car, there are several companies that make adjustments to vehicles for disabled people.
