Question to GP Maarten: Flatulence and bad bowel movements

More than 4 years ago I ate oysters and lobster in Thailand, that night I was very sick and I had to throw up a lot. Since then my stomach has been bothering me, but especially with a lot of flatulence, sometimes with some diarrhoea.
Reader Question: What about public toilets in Thailand?
I'm going to Thailand for the first time next year with friends and would like to ask you Thailand connoisseurs something ... namely about public toilets in Thailand and / or what if you have bladder / bowel problems and walk somewhere.
Am in Thailand (Koh Samui) for the first time. To tackle intestinal problems we had brought along Imodium tablets. Now that both me and my wife continue to have problems, I would like to know what the remedy is for the ailment that I can purchase freely at the pharmacy. The Imodium is running out!
