For all the adventurers and nature lovers, Thailand's national parks are heading into a major seasonal closure period. This initiative, announced by the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, includes the temporary closure of 134 of the 156 parks by the year 2024. These closures are crucial for the conservation and restoration of natural ecosystems and ensure the safety of visitors.
Maya Bay and Loh Samah Bay on Koh Phi Phi Leh will again close to tourists for two months. From 1 August to 30 September 2022.
Three national parks closed for 5 months
The national parks of Mu Ko Surin, Mu Ko Similan and Mu Ko Lanta will remain closed to the public for the next five months. This annual closure aims to allow wildlife and nature to recover without being disturbed by tourists.
According to the spokesperson for the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), all entertainment venues in 41 provinces, including Bangkok, will be ordered to close for at least two weeks as the number of COVID-19 infections continues to rise.
New measures in Pattaya due to the corona crisis
All hotels and beaches in Pattaya must close by order of the governor of the province to prevent the further spread of the corona virus.
