Hello, my name is Steven, I am 18 years old and hope to go to Thailand in June. As I am half Thai, I have a lot of family there and so I visit often. But in this summer is the first time I travel without my parents. I want to visit Chiang Rai for the first time. Now I know my way around Thailand quite well, but I would like to know if there is a bus connection between Chiang Rai and Surin (Isaan).
There is a convenient and cheap bus connection from Jomtien to Suvarnabhumi Airport. But I never could find such a bus to Don Mueang. Does it exist? And where does it depart from?
Thailand-Laos-Vietnam bus service in planning

Those who want to travel by bus between Pattaya and Hua Hin do not have to go to Bangkok or Suvarnabhumi Airport first. The yellow buses of Roong Reuang Coach (Mukdahan) Co Ltd. operate a bus service from Rayong – Koh Samui (Route 393). It also stops in Pattaya and Hua Hin.
Bangkok's second international airport, Don Mueang, will be better served by two new bus connections from Bangkok.
Traveling between Thailand and Cambodia has been easier since December 29, 2012 thanks to a new bus connection. The bus departs from Bangkok to Siem Reap and Phnom Penh in Cambodia.
