From Don Mueang to Phaya Thai by Train (Reader Submission)
We left Khon Kaen today at 12:45 pm. We are my wife and I and her 15 year old niece. My wife and I each had a small 7kg suitcase and a large 15kg suitcase. My wife's cousin brought a backpack weighing a few kilos. We flew to Bangkok Don Mueang with Thai Lion Air. We arrived there around 13:45 PM.
I registered as an over-60 person for the COVID-19 vaccination at Bang Sue station in Bangkok. I received an email today stating that I am expected the day after tomorrow, Saturday. Does anyone know if you have to pay for this? I don't think so, because it comes from the government.
Reader Submission: Vaccinated at Bang Sue Grand Station
This week I registered myself via the QR code that the NL embassy had posted on its facebook page. Received a text late last night (Saturday) confirming appointment at 16pm today (Sunday). So my wife and I went to the scene today, got there at 00:14 PM, along with I estimate over 45 others.
Foreigners aged 75 and over who live in Thailand and have not yet had a Covid-19 vaccination can register for a shot at a walk-in vaccination center at Bang Sue Grand Station.
For those who are 75 years or older and live in Bangkok or the surrounding area, I can report that today I received an AstraZeneca vaccine without any problems. Everything was in English sometimes with a little hesitation.
The railway workers' union is opposing the closure of Hua Lamphong Central Station in November this year, when all train services will be transferred to Bangkok's brand new Bang Sue Grand Station.
Red Line to Rangsit operational next November
The new Red Line railway line between Bang Sue and Rangsit will open in November next year, government spokesman Anucha Buranachaisri said. The test drives will start in March.

Bangkok Central Railway Station moves to Bang Sue
