Who has experience with having the date of birth corrected in Thailand? My girlfriend is Thai from the Hua Hin area, her father only filed a tax return in 1971 when she was already 5 years old. This has practical consequences for the future, such as that 5 years later than others, she will be eligible for accrued state pension in the Netherlands or old-age allowance in Thailand.

My Thai wife just got her MVV stamp in her passport and we are ready to travel to the Netherlands. Soon she has to register with the municipality, for which she needs her Thai Birth Certificate. My question is, should it be translated and legalized, so a Thai legalization and a Dutch stamp? This is required with the marriage certificate when applying for MVV.

A question about dual nationality. My daughter-in-law is Thai and together with my son who is Belgian, we have a two month old daughter. To apply for Thai nationality (i.e. birth certificate in Thailand), the consulate asks for various documents, including an official document from the hospital with its details. But this birth certificate is delivered to the municipality and they then make an official birth certificate.
