The former head of the Thai immigration service Surachat Hakparn (Big Joke) says he wants to return to the police force. Before that, he went to pray at Wat Bueng Kradan in Pitsanulok City in Central Thailand and asked Buddha to be allowed to return to the Thai police.
Why did Big Joke have to leave the field?
He was called the Thai super policeman: Lt. Gene. Surachate Hakparn, better known by his nickname 'Big Joke'. You know him from the many actions in tracking down and arresting foreigners who were working illegally or who stayed in Thailand without a valid visa. The motto of his work was therefore “Good Guys In, Bad Guys Out”.
