On 30-06-2018 we leave for Thailand to live there. For me as a real Belgian this will not be a problem. Deregister at the municipality and then register “somewhere” in Thailand at a Belgian consulate. But my wife: she is Thai by birth, still has a Thai identity card. She has been in Europe for 16 years, has been married to a Dutchman and has also taken over his name. She has adopted and received Dutch nationality. Since she divorced that Dutchman in 2014, and moved to Belgium with me, she has therefore been deregistered in the Netherlands. She still has a Dutch passport to travel.

My Thai daughter-in-law went to her family in Thailand for 8 months with baby, baby did not yet have Thai nationality, only Belgian and passport for 30 days. How can she arrange for an extension of re-entry in Thailand or what do you call this or for a long stay visa. Baby is now 3 months old.
