Thai people do not pay their traffic fines en masse
Thai are bad payers when it comes to traffic fines. Since January 1, 6,2 million tickets for traffic violations have been issued. Only 15 percent (887.000) have paid the fine so far.
Traffic fines form now also in English, appeal is allowed
Anyone who receives a fine in Thailand can now appeal. The official report is now also in English and the form also contains a barcode that makes it easier to pay the fine.
Bit very stupid
With my rental scooter I go out in Pattaya, but after a few kilometers an agent stands in my path and I have to stop. Wear my helmet neatly and I even have a motorcycle license that I once obtained in a gray past. The agent in question asks for my international driver's license, which I immediately produce. Too bad, it's expired so I'm going irrevocably on the receipt.
