Former blogger Charly (Leo) passed away this year, as we learned from an attentive reader. From Udon Thani he wrote more than 80 blogs, often with a personal, idiosyncratic approach. His stories about Thai life and favorite places like Da Sofia restaurant continue to inspire us and remind us of his special view on life.

Everyone has to deal with it at some point. Whether this is to respond to certain complaints and find out where those complaints come from, or in preparation for an operation, or for a periodic check-up (for example in case of diabetes) or simply because you want to know the state of affairs in which your body is located.

Anyone who has followed my escapades here in recent weeks knows that I have now married my Teoy. As far as we're concerned, there wasn't much need for the butter note. However, after almost six years together, we were more or less forced to do so by a decision by the Thai government that took effect on November 1, 2019.

The last few weeks unfortunately found no inspiration to post an article on Thailandblog. I would have liked to have seen it differently, but there was not much to report on my part. Mandatory caged in my house, and yes nothing spectacular happens there.
Just a snack

After my last posting about “unsubscribing in the Netherlands” I had the feeling of “what am I writing all this for, why am I doing this” Especially after a few disdainful comments from a number of commenters.
