Pattaya Beach not finished yet

Actually, one could currently distinguish Pattaya Beach in two parts. From Nua Road (Pattay North) to Pattaya Klang (Pattaya Central) and from there to Walking Street.

Coming from the Nua Road it is a beautiful sight as the beach is located. The sidewalk in front is wide and accessible to the disabled. To a limited extent there is even a possibility to park the car.

Although years of study, even supported by a university for a lot of money, about the type and color of sand to be used, they have not succeeded. Perhaps due to settling and under the influence of the sun that it will get one color? Time will tell. But the average beachgoer will be a concern. It is completely unclear to me how the future erosion of the beach will be prevented. In the first weeks when the beach was raised and widened, a large part washed back directly into the sea due to heavy rainfall and waves.

The sunbeds are three rows thick and tightly lined up on the beach. After every 5 sunbeds a narrow path. Each has a small plastic table in front of it. It looks neat but somewhat sterile. Also because of those few visitors there was little to "experience". Nice if you are looking for this.

In the vicinity of the Pattaya Klang it is becoming much busier, partly due to the arrival and departure of Chinese people to Koh Larn. Past the exit to Pattaya Klang, the first part is much messier. One can sit there on the beach up to about Soi 10 on different types of furniture. At another beach section, people ask 100 baht for the sunbeds and 40 baht for the "old-fashioned" sunbeds/folding chairs. It is better to inquire in advance how this is arranged here. Large partition walls have been set up further on. The last stretch to the Walking Street are no partitions, but you cannot sit there. You cannot park in the second part. Opposite to this one could park the car or motorbike in the Central Festival and walk back for a suitable spot on the beach.

The first part looks the most cared for with beautiful hotels and restaurants across the street. The second part is different and not finished yet. You can walk into a bar in a number of places. Something for everyone in Pattaya.

When will everything be finally finished?

That always remains a question mark in Thailand.

Finishing or maintaining something is not the strongest side of this beautiful country.

And do you update about dongtan beach, the beach and the new road along it?

Off the top of my head because I haven't been there in a while.

On the left at the beginning, a good parking space for cars has been made up to about the level of the Sandbar on the right.
After that one can walk along the road along the beach, no traffic allowed until 17.00pm.
Fewer beach chair rental companies are allowed.
