In the momentum of the nations, Pattaya wanted to build a football stadium, which should accommodate 20.000 visitors.

Initially, there was talk of this mega project appearing on the beach road (Jomtien). But the budget was not conclusive because the beach road (Pattaya) also had to be renovated. From the unexpected side, help was provided by the army, which wants to build it for an adjusted price. Although in a different place, namely at the National Indoor Stadium on Soi Chaiyapruek 2.

On March 13, the agreement was signed by Itthiphol and army commander Nakvnich. Work started this month and the stadium should be ready in more than three years. The final plan has been greatly reduced, initially there was talk of housing 12 other sports facilities, including tennis courts, a swimming pool and ample parking for 500 cars.

At the moment there are other activities going on at this future football stadium. Model airplanes are flown every week, driving lessons take place on the large asphalted parking lot, young people perform “artworks” with cars and fanfare/marching music is practiced. In short, it is a lively environment there.

  1. LOUISE says up

    Morning Louis,

The army, paid by the government, can therefore also simply trade.
Then they always make a nice profit, because all personnel costs have already been paid.

I thought there for a moment that nothing in Thailand could surprise me anymore.
    So was I wrong.

    LOUISE
