Don't complain about Pattaya if you've never been there!

There is no city in Thailand as controversial as this former fishing village. Everyone has an opinion about Pattaya, which ranges from great to terrible.

Why is there so much discussion about this city? And is it right? Isn't it mainly the prejudices that contribute to the image? Of course, Pattaya was once an exponent of the Thai sex industry. But now cities such as Bangkok or Phuket can also blow a nice tune. Certain areas in Bangkok are really not inferior to the infamous areas in Pattaya.

Pattaya has developed considerably in recent years and now has much more to offer than just Walking Street or a dubious nightlife. In fact, in my opinion there is no city in Thailand that has so much entertainment to offer the spoiled tourist.

Pattaya: hate or love?

When it comes to Pattaya, it's black or white. It seems like there's nothing in between. Either you're a fan or you hate this place. Of course everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, but let's keep a discussion clean. For example, there are Thailand visitors and expats who have a strong opinion about Pattaya but have never been there. But how can you judge something if you haven't seen it yourself?

And even if you were there 10 years ago, that doesn't say much. Pattaya has changed quite a bit over the years. So when you form an opinion, be objective and stop listing the known biases. Go take a look and then come to an opinion.

Hence the statement of the week: If you've never been there and you have an opinion, stop whining. Check it out first before calling.

Do you agree or disagree with the statement? Let us know why.

Agree I'm going there for the fourth time in January and I always have to explain why. I think it's great I'm going with my husband and the previous times also with my daughter.
I feel very comfortable there and can have a great time there.
But why don't everyone leave each other alone and mind their own business. Then the world will be a lot more fun

Nice statement Khun Peter, but when I talk to family and acquaintances about it, everyone appears to have been to Pattaya. You see what you want to see. So I doubt much will change in the comments.
Your advice, I fully support that. I really need to check it out this winter. In the meantime I got to know a very good guide, the well-known Hans G. If that doesn't produce an exciting report, without prejudices, then I don't know what will.

I find a super place and we are going there for 7 weeks in January.
Is everything you need for a tourist beautiful weather, beautiful beach, delicious food lovely people cheap in every way fascinating how life is there.

I well remember that the same argument was used to justify apartheid in South Africa and general rule in Spain and Greece in the XNUMXs and XNUMXs. "You've never been there, so you can't judge it."
On the other hand, I also think that we should not complain too much, I never do. Pattaya certainly has its good and bad sides. I'll have to go take a look.

Good statement I agree I have been coming to Pattaya for 14 years (and next year I will live there) there really is something to experience in Pattaya for everyone young, old, family, single, I myself have already been there alone with friends with my children and also several times with my parents (almost 80) and everyone thinks it's great if you know where to go with the various groups.

  6. Jan Meijerink says up

I have understood and therefore read that Pattaya is overrun with Russians and that they are pretty much in charge in mainly the hotels and related establishments.. That, if true, I find, from experience in Goa, a very questionable development,, True or False?

    Hi Khan Peter,
I fully understand your concern and your love for Thailand, as well as your dislike of bias towards some aspects of life in Thailand.
BUT : In my opinion, without their s.x industry, places like Pattaya and Phuket would have no special attraction for tourists. The beaches of Pattaya are really not very beautiful, those of Phuket are much better, but given the number of people who are cheated, not really recommended!
I think Thailand is a mostly beautiful country, with mostly beautiful people, but one has to separate the wheat from the chaff and apparently most of the chaff is in Pattaya and/or Phuket.
I am sure that a country like Thailand would easily survive without this special industry, but I fear that Pattaya and Co. would soon turn into ghost towns. Maybe I'm wrong, but this is my opinion, so what you're asking for.
    Kind regards
    Didit

I spent a few days in Pattaya last year, on the return journey from Koh Chang to Bangkok. I also thought that you first have to be somewhere to judge it. And I found a lot of bars (outside Walking Street) aimed at men's entertainment. Not that I judge all that, because I know quite a few girls who work or have worked in these kind of bars and the background of these ladies. Just a little too much of these occasions for me. I found Jomtien much quieter in that respect. But I also didn't find the beach in Pattaya particularly special, especially compared to other coastal towns such as Cha-Am, Hua Hin and Krabi. People also talk about Phuket as a sex island, but you have to bring that back to Patong “on” Phuket. The other places have relatively less of this industry. And as far as Bangkok is concerned… well we have the ramparts in Amsterdam, they have 3 of them.

      • Gerard and Cor says up

At least three times as many people live in Bangkok than in Amsterdam. Moreover, I just have the feeling that Patpong is not for the Thai.

    • chris says up

Of course you can whine about anything. Also about Pattaya and even if you've never been there. There is freedom of expression. What is different if someone believes you when you whine about Pattaya when you've never been there.
I never whine. Is too negative for me. That is not to say that I have no opinion about Pattaya. But that is not the subject of the statement.

  8. gilliam says up

    My humble opinion:
Pattaya / Jomtien really has it all. A wide variety of restaurants, including the best seafood you've ever tasted, endless sports and recreational opportunities, a dozen world-class golf courses, value-for-money shopping, nightlife like you've never seen before and of course the beach.
Last but certainly not least amazing, beautiful and fascinating people!
I always have a fantastic time!

  9. Hans Struijlaart says up

You don't necessarily have to have been somewhere to have an opinion about something.
I have never been to the North Pole, Patagonia or Brazil, for example, but I do have an opinion about it. That judgment is then formed by stories from others who have been there, by photos and documentaries about that country that you have seen. Of course the best judgment is if you have been there yourself. Naturally. And even then every judgment is very personal: What are you looking for? What is your attention focused on? Are you a party type or not etc. Eg. the sex industry in Pattaya is very large and vibrant. If you walk around there as a bachelor and are not averse to feminine or masculine beauty, you're in the right place of course. If you go there with your family with young children, I wonder if there are no better beaches where you can go. If you come for your rest, you can also shake it, Pattaya is very hectic and busy. The beach is very narrow at high tide, the water is not clear, you are constantly harassed by sellers and people who want something from you (money). Photo with monkey or snake. I regularly visit Thailand and often go to Tjomtien for a few days, which borders Pattaya. I know a lot of people there and it's a lot quieter than Pattaya. Usually I go to Walking Street for 1 or 2 evenings. Besides the feminine beauty, you have a fantastic nightlife there: excellent (sea) restaurants, discotheques, brilliant performances by music bands in various bars, pool tables. During the day it is great shopping in Pattaya and you have a super large outdoor swimming pool, etc. Plenty of entertainment and entertainment. But after 2 days I saw it again. Hans

Completely agree, now for the 19th time what Pattaya and the surrounding area has to offer is beautiful. At the time when I go to Thailand I also go to another area for a week because Thailand is beautiful. But I am also glad that I am back in Pattaya am.Only when I leave the Netherlands do I always get those kl……….; comments from our compatriots who would like to but are not allowed.

In Nl, you hear the strangest stories about Pattaya from people who have never been there themselves.
Only if you say you are going to Thailand are you already prejudiced like a whore runner.
That does not even have to be Pattaya .
My experience is once and never again .
I have friends who love being there and are proud of it.
I would say go there to give your own opinion, one is not the other.
    Enjoy it or puke it.
Who knows I was unlucky that time and it will be much more fun the next time .
In any case, I felt quite screwed by a lady on the beach who was going to cut my nails and witness how someone had to pay a lot of money after renting a jet ski.
The Taxi also did not keep his appointment .
Next time I will definitely be with friends who live there, otherwise never again.

I have been to Thailand many times and for a long time. Every time I told someone to go to Thailand I saw a smile on the face of the addressee. I already knew what people thought before sex. You were automatically seen that way. Everyone knows the places of Pattaya and Phuket and their fame. My answer was always the same “Speak about something you know, Thailand is more than those two places.” When I said I was going to CM 900 km in the North, they didn't even know where it was and how big Thailand was.
To the statement I can only answer "Don't judge something you don't know."

  12. Yuundai says up

When I still lived in Holland I was an avid VOLKSKRANT reader and had nothing to do with the TELEGRAAF. People sometimes ask me what is that judgment based on? I stood pretty with a mouth full of teeth and had no arguments for my point of view. After that I started reading not only the VOLKSKRANT, but also the TELEGRAAF and the AD. There are certainly distinguishable dailies, but in one you will find this and in the other that. That is also the case with this discussion. I think you must have been there and not for half an hour, but get to know the cities in question, then you can give an opinion of "what you think of it" no more and no less. Statements like Pattaya is nothing, should read for me Pattaya is nothing. So don't generalize but give your own opinion.
Good luck to all those lovers of Pattaya and Phuket.
    I'll stick with HUA HIN.

  13. According to says up

A fun and stimulating statement. But why do you have to judge? Judgment has a negative annotation! Why can't you have an opinion?

My opinion of Pattaya is based on two visits many, many years ago. And no doubt Pattaya (along with the rest of the world) is very different now than it was, say, 20 years ago. So what?

If you're only allowed to have an opinion (or, for me, an opinion) about places you've been recently, then most of them are just talking about Germany and France.

The statement is nonsense to me.

  14. Davis says up

'The truth is in the eye of the beholder'.

As a tourist in Amsterdam, if you only visit the red light district and coffee shops, what are you going to tell your friends… That says more about the messenger and his perception than what you read in the standard travel guides, doesn't it?

For most, Thailand is synonymous with the sex industry and Pattaya is the capital. Bangkok is much longer in that area than Pattaya, but the latter has alternated Bangkok over the years. Bangkok itself, on the other hand, has risen to become a fully-fledged metropolis.
So what do you get to hear when you go to Pattaya? Right yes. And I can speak with you, I was there for a week last year. Admittedly in Jomtien, but that's part of it and of course I also came to Pattaya. I did some long walks there (from Jomtien to the bus station in Pattaya) and to other places.
For a short break it was nice but I haven't gone back since. I now live near Pranburi on the land between the pineapple fields. I like this better than Pattaya.
It makes me feel better because you can't get around the fact that when you go to Pattaya, you go for "that one thing". And then you are “one of those”. Whether you say the opposite or not, no one believes you. I also don't believe anyone who says that he goes to Pattaya for the great culture.

You always have Doubting Thomases. Because people are very good at prejudices. I experience it myself. But if you keep asking, it's bursting with jealousy. He just goes and goes. Yes, so what. When you are retired you should enjoy life, hundreds of times I have heard it. I'm sick of those stories. But men who, sorry, who have been on the regular for 40 years, would like to take a look. If I ask you to come along for 2 or 3 weeks then you have to hear their wife. Then Leiden is in trouble. They enjoy their grandchildren, fortunately. But in the back of their mind, I think they'd like to come along. Envy is and will always be there.

The first time we came to a """pole club"" I hated my husband, because all those erect, swaying, fried eggs and "udders" (sorry) kept him very busy.
I didn't think that was an exception.
Of course afterwards. "you didn't see me anymore etc..

        And indeed, prejudice and jealousy.
I can't find any other name for it either.
I can also look at those lady boys with admiration.
Good heavens, what beautiful “women” there are

No more pattya for us either. In the past, we liked to go there for a week or 2. The last time was 2 years ago, that was our last time, it is getting busier. We always found it quite cozy and of course everyone his taste and pleasures there. I have already made it known in the past why no more pattya for us. That was not appreciated so I will leave that out now. We still enjoy going every year for a few weeks to thailand but elsewhere. Because thailand itself is wonderful.

    Hi K. Peter,

Still, I think you are actually very social.
Everyone can write off their frustrations.
I remember Pattaya the first time we saw it on TV.
It was depicted as a great pool of destruction, knocked no wood of the people who lived there and it was all and only for the quick fuck. (excuse my french)
Of course we also know 2 gentlemen who went to Pattaya for this, but unfortunately these were not really mother's most beautiful.
And let's be honest, you better pay for it here, nice in the sun and nice restaurants, than in The Hague
Of the 3 broadcasts that we saw on TV, not one made positive comments about it.
I am talking now I think about 30 years ago.

    @Sjaak,

    “”For that ONE to pattaya”””????????????
    Do not make me laugh.
And you think you should be accountable to whoever because you are going or went in that direction???
There's a lot more to do here though.
Only among those people with such a narrowly compartmentalized mind, Pattaya is synonymous with that “ONE”

Crazy, our first time Thailand was Bangkok with a dealer trip from our importer and of course also to Patpong, including directors etc..
My mouth doesn't open quickly, but there it is.
However, we never saw that happen on TV.
Maybe strange or weird, but I can still get turned on when I read those stupid expressions and opinions.
    Sorry about this.

Many happy and peaceful greetings from Jomtien.

Pattaya is in Thailand, but what whiners and complainers would rather not see, what gives offense or what is condemned does not originate in Pattaya but in Europe - namely in the great shortage there of opportunities for non-compulsory sex and in the (for -) make judgments about it.
Furthermore, the beach elsewhere is indeed wider, the water clearer and you will meet fewer Europeans there.
    Let everyone make their choice.

good discotheques and well-kept bars and I can name so many things to visit this city, highly recommended!

I am one of those who have never set foot in Pattaya. In my case it just never happened. The first time (early 2000) I only had a week and I chose Cha-am and Hua Hin. I liked Thailand so much that a few months later I already celebrated 3 weeks in Phuket (Patong Beach). Patong already had a good nightlife back then. (So the moral card is not played in this contribution.) A beer was 60 baht and the next day you could make a trip for 1000 baht to a beautiful island with white sand, where you could snorkel. I went twice a month a year, but each time I returned I saw the enormous changes that had occurred in that short period of time. At the end of 2004 I had seen it all and I also left for a few weeks to the north of Thailand. A month later, the bungalow where I used to stay was destroyed by the tsunami…After 2008 I never visited Phuket again. It is probably better to live in Pattaya now than in Phuket.

In the beginning there is a beautiful beach. A few bungalows will be built for tourists who want to enjoy it. Then the project developers come and before you know it there is nothing left of the original paradise. There is no arguing about taste. A large group of visitors has no problem with this. And tourism is only increasing and the concrete masses can continue to grow indefinitely. Unfortunately this is happening all over the world not just in Pattaya.
Everyone should think Pattaya is fantastic and just outside "the city" it will be wonderful to live for pensioners. However, I am already broadening my horizons…

    Never been to pattaya.
Now live on Phuket and never visit Patong Bangla road.
    Seen half the world.
Lots of middle east. And that is precisely where the heaviest blows fall when it comes to prejudices. Belief, culture, customs or geographical location make a place different from ours. Many have heard something, form a judgment, take a position that they never get out of stubbornness or pride. Not even if they've been there. Pattaya will undoubtedly suffer from this. In China I noticed that the ethics there were clearly different from what I was used to from the west. There I learned that I had to learn to accept that things are different. Especially when it comes to ethics. So leave the norms and values of the Netherlands in the Netherlands and stop testing against them. A lot has been written about the Sex industry, what I understand is that the ethics are not that different from ours. Shame and perversity are not much different.
But it seems easier to step over thresholds in Thailand.
Ladyboys, Tomboys, gay or lesbian, they already know when they are 5. Coming out is peanuts in Thailand. It doesn't seem like much of a point. And this is also the case for the ladies and ladyboys from the lady bars or nightlife. Having sex, whether or not for money, is a less important thing than with us Dutch people in general. Ethically something different.

I am very old fashioned Dutch but just respect the ethics of the country where I love to stay

And so it is with poverty, crime and corruption.

In short, whether you have been to Pattaya or not, you complain about your own ethics.

I have been coming to Thailand for 20 years now, but I still have to explain that it is a very beautiful holiday country with a lot to see with beautiful beaches and a vibrant nightlife where everything is still affordable.

what only gets me so tired is when people go to watch a show in a go-go then watch it all the way through and then come to showers shocked to save face. they have the holiday of a lifetime but defend themselves in front of friends what a Sodom and gamora Pattaya is.

Pattaya is more than that, Pattaya is fun for everyone attractions, beaches, good food and a vibrant nightlife, you must see Pattaya at least once in your life.

As my mother instilled in me 50 years ago, if you don't know anything about something, don't be ridiculous to pass judgment on it. The subject is irrelevant. That being said the "explanation" to the statement goes more in the direction of a question of what people think of Pattaya (having been there or not). Living just outside Pattaya for over 25 years my wife and I have had the gamut of commentary on that. heard. Something original would be nice. Hans from Plutaluang.

But why do people complain about Patthaya, is there a certain reason?
I think every place in Thailand is being whined about, it just depends on what your taste is and where you feel comfortable.
I do think that if you whine about something you should be able to substantiate your criticism, so if you haven't been to Pattaya and you've heard everything from the media then I don't think your whining is justified, Pattaya is more than just sex tourism.
Just have a look and then judge for yourself.

So that's why you don't have to travel to Pattaya.
Where and in which province do most of the beautiful women live in Thailand ???
A question to all of you.
Just google it , or check out travel books .
You come to a nice surprise.

Nice statement. I have been coming to Pattaya for 8 years now in the months of January/February. A lot has changed in those 8 years. Better or worse I can't say, but it has changed just like everywhere else. Due to the rise of the Arab tourists since about 4 years old, the street scene has changed and many coffee shops have been added. Entire streets are being bought up and the hotels are sprung up from the ground. This is not always fun for the Thai population, but they have to move. For the past 2 years, the Russians have also sought refuge in Pattaya and that is also noticeable. It is a pity that their behavior does not quite suit me and certainly not at all with the Thai. But they do and have to do nice to get income. But hear the boys and girls swear about this antisocial behavior that many display. (In Puhket there has even been a demonstration against the rise of the Russian who is now also starting to buy everything). All in all, it is indeed changing and the Thai is also changing as a result. Where everyone used to be treated like a king, now you have to “earn it”. However, those who behave politely are adored. For me, Pattaya remains the holiday city where you can enjoy peace, a nice beach, close to Koh Larn and other beautiful sights in the area. Night life great, if you know where to go. Walking street is not my thing, is called Fighting street by thai themselves, so just look around somewhere else. They like to take you to other occasions. Hope everyone keeps coming and feels as at home as I do.

My wife and I have been coming to Thailand for 16 years now and also to Pattaya, but less every year. We have our own condo in Jomtien and only go to Pattaya for the necessary groceries. the field of computers.
But indeed there are a lot of Russians who flood the market, but mainly concentrate on the coast. If you cross the sukunvit road, Trepasir road, the number of Russians will be considerably less. And 1 km further into the country you won't find one anymore. This is also in Hua Hin. Phuket, Cha-am,. But you won't find them on different islands either.!!
Furthermore, it is nice in pattaya but I give up there and prefer to stay in Jomtien. stacks of condos are being built here, but whether they will ever be sold remains to be seen. There is something for everyone here, and the most important thing is to continue to enjoy and let everyone be in their own worth!!!!!

I have been to several places in Thailand, including Bangkok and Phuket, but nowhere do I get the feeling of being in Southeast Asia more than in Pattaya. But have an open-ended conversation in the bar, they are usually very nice, decent people with a sense of humour, only such a conversation has a relatively open end for them.

Furthermore, I think one of the biggest negatives is the same as any other major tourist place in Thailand and that is that there are too many Chinese, Russians, Indians and Arabs. i would say visit this place without prejudice i bet that one night in the bars and on the streets you will come across the most interesting stories and people that will stay with you for a while.

  39. Kito says up

I myself have been living in Pattaya for about fourteen months, and in that time I have gone to Walking Street exactly twice, and I have visited an a gogo bar three times (each time because the majority of the party insisted).
I certainly don't want to make any moralizing or generalizing statements about people who do like to visit this kind of entertainment, but I am sure that Walking Street in general or the shows that are performed in the a gogos don't interest me one bit.
But should I start whining about it now? No, the fact that I myself chose to stay here proves beyond all measure that there are many aspects that make Pattaya just pleasant/nice enough for me to consider the location (at least for the time being) choose where to live?
And that strength, the enormous variety of options of Pattaya, is what I think is what makes Pattaya so controversial.
Just think: the more controversial something or someone comes across, the more that something or someone will fascinate others and thus tempt them to form an opinion about it.
If Pattaya leads to so many controversies, it can only mean that Pattaya leaves no one unmoved either…

I don't need to have lived through World War II to know that that war was terrible, so I fundamentally disagree with Khun Peter that you couldn't make a correct judgment about Pattaya if you've never been there…

Furthermore, I largely agree with him: I've been back from Pattaya since yesterday and for me it remains a city where I feel good.

Agreed, it is an ugly city (aesthetically speaking), the beaches have absolutely no high bounty content, there are too many Russians and for me personally always too many Muslims, it is a dirty city, an insanely busy city, a smelly city, and three days ago I got a fine for not wearing a helmet on my motorbike…

But, it is a city with a soul, with amazing entertainment options, good shopping centers, with many activities for young and old, and above all a city with so much service to the people who stay there (you can get everything around the clock and you can rightly so for everything, that service is completely non-existent in the narrow-minded west).

At worst I dare to speak of a love-hate relationship, at best of a characterful city that has something for everyone, and if I have to criticize (break down) Pattaya then I dare say frankly that the mental level of the average tourist there is not very high and that I see too few backpackers and families with children.

    I am very happy!!!

Our youngest son went to live in Pattya with a sweet (Thai) girlfriend, and what everyone thinks… must be a young thing, no… she is even 1 year older than our son, and plucking him bald?? No…she is even thrifty!! He is very happy there, and we visit them at least once a year, and we have a great time there, and I feel very safe there on the street, or in the taxi!! Never had any problems, helpful people all. Except for the Russians….they can stay away from me!! Irritating people!!! We are going back soon, and we are looking forward to it!!!!!!!!!!!!

The reason why we no longer go to pattya has nothing to do with the ladies or ladyboys. We always liked the bars with the ladies and the walking street. You know that pattya is known for that, so if you don't want that, don't go there because it is also lively on the street, no, we have other reasons to avoid pattya. But luckily there is more than pattya with the friendly thai people, we like to come there for 15 years, so that says enough.

What wonderful memories I have of Pataya.
I think the first time I ended up there was 40 years ago.
We were in Bangkok at that time there was a student uprising. And the state of emergency was declared and you were no longer allowed to go out on the street after 10 o'clock
We then moved to Pataya. I am not religious. But if there is a paradise, it must be the Pataya of yesteryear.
Unfortunately I have to say that I don't like it more over the years
For me it mainly depends on a certain population group.
    which is already represented
They scold the Thai for being rude to them.
    I can't stand it I get angry
get involved and get yourself into trouble. So I don't think you will see me there much anymore. I say I think. What could be more fun than sitting on a terrace in Pataya for a day.

You don't have to go to Pattaya for the beach, it doesn't have much to offer as Thailand has much more tired beaches to offer. SeaWorld is a nice attraction for the family, but not really a reason to visit a city. The already acclaimed nightlife mainly concerns the ladies of fun. I have no problem with that, but this is a one-sided nightlife. The clubs or bars that are not part of this may be very cozy for the slightly older holidaymaker, but you cannot speak of a serious nightlife. The quality is very mediocre. Incidentally, this also applies to other cities regarding clubs in BKK. In terms of appearance, these clubs are well cared for, but the quality of the music leaves much to be desired. They are mostly no more than flat top 40 clubs, even the better ones in BKK. These clubs cannot be compared with clubs from, for example, our own Amsterdam, Rotterdam or London, New York. So for a spoiled music lover you don't have to go to Pattaya or Thailand at all. Golf may be a reason, but I don't play that myself, but I do know that there are plenty of other alternatives in Thailand for this. Pattaya is not a metropolis, but in my opinion it should have a lot of bar ladies. But something for everyone.

I agree with the statement that you can only judge when you have experienced it yourself.

We had a fantastic holiday in Pattaya and hope to have that next summer in Phuket and the surrounding area.

And prostitution occurs all over the world. and always focused.

Just like Kees, I came to Pattaya for the first time for the first time forty years ago, for me nothing has changed in all those years, it remains a cozy stew, sea beach bars and hot girls.

    For the enthusiast.
    Really good news from Pattaya.
Wednesday there is a herring evening in Erik's Holland Belgium house.
The good man wants to treat the guests at the expense of his own money to show the other side of Pattaya.
The quality can not be matched in many places , even in the Netherlands .
Apart from a few others who also sell this product and have no idea how to sell it in the tropics, Erik is going to promote this in Pattaya.
Erik also cares about your health as well as Enjoy Andre you can rely on their product to build a good relationship.
The Telegraaf test has already proven it, not everyone goes to Pattaya to choose.

If you have never been there, your source and attitude will of course determine what image you have of Pattaya.

However, that does not always have to be negative. It can also be done without whining.
I have several friends who only know Pattaya from travel guides, TV images or bar talk, but would love to come to Pattaya sometime. However, due to circumstances they have never made it here. They are very enthusiastic and often see it as a boyhood dream that (let's hope with them) will come true one day.

On the other hand, of course, you also have the whiners. Jealousy of others, who were already allowed to experience it, is often at the root. Actually, they would be happy to go, but to hide this they bring in all the immoral things they can think of to make it as negative as possible. (As if they only exist in Thailand and in particular Pattaya. Even Thai who come to live in their country find no mercy because they all think they are "like that").

    To answer the statement.
Of course you can have an opinion about Pattaya, even if you've never been there, but don't complain about it.
However, I am in favor of waiting to pass judgment until you have been there.

Pattaya, I have also been there dozens of times. I'm saint let me go with sx industry too. But now, I am an elderly man and decided to retire to a calm and peaceful town (Kantharalak – Sisaket Province). There I met a woman, etc. My decision is: I will not complain about Pattaya, but my pension is too small to live in Pattaya.

Acquaintances of mine also have an opinion about Thailand, while they have never been there.
They say there are many (how…) and children are being abused.
It probably will, but it doesn't actually happen, but I've never seen this myself.
I think you should look it up otherwise you won't see it. If I go to AMSTERDAM
I don't necessarily go to the WALLEN either. After having been 13 times I have never experienced anything wrong. Those acquaintances of mine don't want to go just because, what I
I report in the beginning.(how…)and child abuse.
I asked them where they want to live, because I don't know a country where something like that is not the case
happened. And there are quite a lot of fun things to do such as (stone park, sanctuary of truth,
floating market, and much more. February 2013 rented a bungalow for the first time
THE THREE ELEPHANTS great swimming pool in the garden, you can eat as late as you want, you really have a holiday. My advice, Let everyone do what he or she likes, and report child abuse to the police.

I was in Pattaya for the first time in 1990 when my brother moved there and I love it. As described before you have everything. Good hotels, beach and shopping. If you want to go to Bangkok, take the bus or taxi and go there for 1 day or a few days or elsewhere in Thailand. I went again in August and enjoyed it.
But I too often hear around me for judgments and those people have not been anywhere yet. I have also seen a lot of other countries, but I always find it fun there.

  52. T. van den Brink says up

Why do people always look for annoyance when they go on holiday abroad? You go to have fun! And there is entertainment for everyone, if there is only a chessboard on the boulevard then probably no one will come. If there's something you don't like about a country, just don't go there and don't go and see if you can get annoyed enough in places that are already certain to annoy you! I went to Phuket and Pattaya with my partner and we had a great time in both places, and we both have more than our state pension! both my female partner and I really don't go for sex! We have learned that there are an infinite number of amusements and amusements to be found in this world and the things we don't appreciate we just don't go back to! We also saw Walking Street, our hotel was 2 blocks away, we spent 3 weeks there, but we only saw Walking Street once and that was more than enough! If the entertainment operators see a gap in the market they immediately jump on it, that's another way to make your money and you can't blame them, when we were there it was quite busy in Walking Street and could you walk over the heads! Of course you have certain excesses that attract a certain kind of people from my partner in Pataya her watch was stolen by a very shrewd thief. But that's no reason to criticize Pattaya! All I can say is WE LOVE THAILAND!!!!!!
