Since the beginning of this year, the bicycle course around the airport Sreopened after a six-month renovation.

Although the course had been in use since 2014, it was time for major maintenance, which eventually took six months. At the time it was called “Green Bike Lane” and was shown on the television channel CNN, among others. Then those responsible expanded the area to a total length of 23 kilometers.

In 2016 the name changed to “Sky Lane” and a jogging area was added with a length of 1,2 kilometers. Also a separate area for children to learn riding a bike, also toilet and dining facilities. Because the Siam Commercial Bank co-sponsored this Sky Lane, the technical development could be taken to a higher level. Participants can use a GPS bracelet, so that assistance can be provided quickly in the event of a problem. Lap times and the best time can also be recorded.

This course is qualified as the best in Thailand. Pragsong Poontaneat, president of the AOT and creator of the “Sky Lane” hopes that the participants will enjoy this sporting opportunity.

Last March, even the king, Rama X, used this track as a passionate cyclist and even gave it a different name, which translated means “Happiness and Health”.

Although it is a bicycle course, it is also a meeting place for young and old. In order to make a distinction, a two-track policy has been devised. The blue track for recreational riders and a violet track for “cyclists”. In addition, an area for joggers and an area for mountain bikers. A long Skybridge connects the parking lot to the trail. There is parking for more than 3500 cars.

The complex is open daily from 6 a.m. to 20.00 p.m. and use is free.

An amazing experience. Cycled a round on this beautiful course in December with an average of 33 km / h.
You have to register before you can enter, so bring your passport. You will then receive an access chip to open the entrance gate. You can keep this chip for next time.

Can someone tell me where the entrance is?

If you cycle from Lat Krabang road towards the airport (Suvanabhumi road) you can cycle just over the bump on the left into the parking lot. As mentioned, you have to register at the counter. This is the building just before you can enter the bike path.
