Hidden in the deep south of Thailand you will find Khao Sok National ParkKhao Sok is home to an impressive rainforest, limestone cliffs, emerald green lakes, rushing waterfalls, rivers flowing through lush valleys, mysterious caves and a variety of exotic wildlife. It is therefore one of the most beautiful National parks from Thailand.

The park with an area of 739 km² is unique due to the presence of a primeval forest. This rainforest remnant is even older and more varied than the Amazon rainforest.

The park is home to many exotic wildlife, including the Asian elephant, sambars, bantengs, tapirs, pygmy deer, cobras, pythons, reptiles, monkeys, bats and more than 300 different species of birds.

To get to the Khao Sok National Park from Bangkok, take the night train to the South in the evening. After a good night's sleep in a second class air-conditioned sleeper you will arrive in Surat Thani the next morning.

It's beautiful. Lots of boats on the lake but that's normal. A little paradise both the forest and the lake.

In transit by car from Bangkok to Krabi spent two days in Khao Sok, crossing the lakes with a private longtail. Fantastic! Our guide obviously also knew where to find the good restaurants. An unforgettable experience!

Good morning, I am about to book a tour in Khao Sok for July next 2 nights jungle tree house and 1 night on the lake. Both accommodations without air conditioning. My question is: does anyone have experience sleeping there at night without air conditioning and is that “doable” for a Farang?
