Children and water don't mix (video)
In response to previous posts about the many children drowning in Thailand, our reader RonnyLatPhrao drew our attention to this video posted on Facebook.
Many children in Thailand cannot swim, which is a major problem in a water-rich country such as Thailand. Especially when you hear that according to statistics about 1.000 children drown every year. That equates to an average of three deaths per day. Drowning is the most common cause of death among Thai children.
But there is another problem, namely parents / caregivers who do not keep an eye on their offspring. Small children are quickly attracted to water, so you should keep a close eye on them near ponds, swimming pools, etc. Every sane person knows that.
You don't come across so much stupidity as in this video (I hope). A small child plays on the edge of a water bowl somewhere in Thailand and of course that goes wrong.
Please note: these images can be shocking.

Unbelievable, I just get very angry and a little later sad when I see these images. No herb can beat brainless people.
The child survived, fortunately, that other little guy saved his life.
Hi Jan,
That little guy should have put his arms in the water right away and not wait for mommy to get there.
This could have been a time span between life and death.
I found most parents in the Netherlands to be laconic in upbringing, but this mom can explain things to her son.
Thank God that little cutie was saved.

It is incomprehensible that people do not miss their child, nor that the security did not notice anything on the cameras.
Hopefully the child made it, terrible.
In Thaniland, a person does not count very much, but this affects everyone.
Hello, we have a swimming pool at home, 5x6 meters and it is 1.70 deep. And the neighborhood children get swimming lessons from my wife Honnybee. She even taught a 10-year-old boy to swim in 3 days. And children who are not who can swim, must always wear a car tire or life jacket. You cannot leave them alone for seconds. There is also a camera at the pool so that I can keep an extra eye on things from 3 meters away from the living room. It often surprises us, at least me, that so few children and adults can swim. Sometimes boys come who want to become a soldier or police officer, but they are only accepted if they can swim, so we teach them to swim. Sometimes there are 20 children in our swimming pool.
