The Rod Fai Park is also called Railway park. A lesser known park but definitely worth it. It is near Chatuchak park.

Accessible on foot from the MRT/BTS at about 2.5 km. The park offers many possibilities. The enormous amount of bicycles that are rented out is insane. You even see the children learning to ride a bicycle with the training wheels. Renting a bicycle is quite easy, even tandems are available.

There are many hiking trails and cycling paths, the nature is impressively beautiful, especially the part where butterflies sit with a splendor of flowers.

There is something to experience for everyone. For example, there are fitness options on equipment, a swimming section and a kind of children's playground. You can rent mats to sit or lie on for 20 baht. Enjoy the water features and joggers. Lovely sitting by the water. Even just walking around is relaxing.

In contrast to Chatuchak, the park looks less crowded and more relaxing. I've been there a few times now and even on Sundays it's a lovely place to be. This morning I was there at 6 o'clock, the serene tranquility, the birds, the monitor lizards it is just a pleasure to walk around here.

Do you want to fan from the BTS / MRT just use Google map. Enter Rot Fai park and opt for walking. You walk a large part through Chatuchak park. Then take the wooden bridge on the other side and you are in the park. It is my preference to enjoy a serene tranquility in hectic Bangkok.

If you come by car, parking is no problem.
