Searching the website of the Dutch Embassy for an income statement, required for an annual visa, was quite a task for me. But I found it.

Since May of last year, this is called the visa support letter. You can now find it on the Netherlandsworldwide website: https://www.nederlandwereldwijd.nl/landen/thailand/actueel/nieuws/2017/05/11/inkomensstatement-wijzigt-in-visumsteunsbrief

Well Rex I also have a hard time finding information on those websites.
You get older and don't know where to find the right link.
And instead of the Dutch government helping a little more and being clearer in its rules, it is getting more and more difficult.
I'm 75 and I'm not a PC freak at all so it's quite a task for me too.

This letter of support does refer to a net income statement. I assume that many will not be happy with that given the previous discussions about net versus gross income for a visa application.

I am certainly not happy with that, Willem, which is why I have to fly tomorrow because my annual visa has expired.
Had 4 years retired visa on Koh chang via trat never any problems with immigration in Long Gnep.
SVB and pension added together 18.000 euros gross 1.000 euros lie 80.000 baht on Thai account and it was arranged.
The immigration police never asked is this gross or net I came above 800.000 baht so no problem.
i had my visa for a year again and could stay on the island of koh chang for the 90 days stamp.
      And now just bullshit.

Fortunately, the days of creatively coming up with the visa requirements of 800.000 tbt are over. It was of course clear to everyone that this was net, only annoying if you could not prove it or not at all. After all, there is also a net amount in a bank account! It is therefore logical that the embassy also works with net. It is now being checked (again), fine of course. The embassy will only provide you with the correct net information for your visa application. They don't ask if you can prove 800.000 tbt, you have to do that yourself and the immigration checks that.

Seems to me mainly a simple programming routine that has been “forgotten” when editing the text. In principle, with every change, the search routine should always find the old known name and give a redirect to the new name. That this apparently, in view of the above comments, has not been done well enough is an omission that should be corrected quickly in my opinion. Hopefully the embassy staff will pick this up and pass it on to the right authorities.

Well, I had a hard time yesterday too. After quite a while trying the most common sites, such as foreign affairs, ministry, embassy and still no result. Finally called a good acquaintance and he gave me the name of the site, ¨nederlandworldwide.nl¨
The official who invented this must either be unworldly, perhaps tipsy, or delighted with his own abilities. Not to be found for a normal person, not a single reference to any embassy or consular service whatsoever. Bookmarked the site for next year.
And so we muddle on outside the Netherlands.

You can also download the 24/7BZTRAIZEN app, this app is more user-friendly. For example, I made an appointment within 10 minutes. And there is much more information on it.

But if I understand correctly, you can now also use a bank statement (internet banking)
Because I don't get an annual statement either

    • Kevin says up

This has been possible for some time if you can prove that you have the required 400.000 Baht in an account, no matter which one, and 800.000 Baht if you are not married and then you do not have to go to the embassy for a stamp.

and then the group who do not get their income from NL but via, for example, like me in Indonesia
how do I get an income statement and from whom, I lost track and my visa and much more

  8. Jos Velthuijzen says up

Until last year, you could enter an amount on the income statement and the embassy signed it without hesitation. Now you have to come up with evidence and that will cause problems. The fact that it is now only about net amounts will mean the end of their stay in Thailand for many people.
Jacob you write that you have income from Indonesia. I receive a pension from the USA. Translated the new visa support into English and sent it to the paying agencies in the States with the request to sign the statement. Received signed copy within 3 weeks. Maybe this is also possible for you. Of course you have to find out who pays you and where they are located. Good luck.

Well, if you think that the starting point of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is to help Dutch people abroad as well as possible, then that is not the right starting point. The fewer Dutch people abroad visit the embassies, the better they think in The Hague. Because then we can save even more on those embassies. By the way, have you ever met a civil servant who is not unworldly?
