Who knows where I can order these French dry sausages in Thailand?

Dear readers,

In Thailand I like Thai food, but also Korean and Japanese. And not to forget just my own prepared sauerkraut with white beans and piccalilly (homemade), red cabbage with apples and beef stew (slow cooker), and kale mash with bacon and pork. A godsend that Thailand offers all those western products for sale in many shops.

Now I am busy with Christmas. Some good friends from Rotterdam are coming to visit. In the evening we are all going to a Christmas buffet at a famous restaurant here in Chiangmai, during the day we eat Thai, but in the morning we still like to have a Christmas breakfast. Online I was able to order German Weihnachtsstollen, and smoked bacon to go with the fried eggs. One from a German online provider (Schmidt.co.th), the other from an English shop (Laughing Monkey). There is also an extensive range of Dutch snacks and bites. (NL.hds-co-ltd). Coincidentally, all three are located here.

But I'm still looking for dry/cured French sausages such as the saucisson sec, (a dry sausage made from pork and seasoned with garlic and pepper); the andouille de Vire, (a smoked pig's intestine stuffed with pork and herbs); and the boudin noir, (a blood sausage made from pig's blood, fat and herbs).

Do any of the readers know of a (French) online shop from which I can order the dried sausages in question?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Ton

Mister Cochon delivers good, real French quality. Their dishes are also authentic. I like to order there.

    Dear Ton,
    also recommended is:
Boucherie Jean Pierre Hua Hin. (see website: https://www.facebook.com/JPBoucherie/
Have been a customer for many years and you can order by phone and have it delivered to your home throughout Thailand.
My preference is: boudin noir- pate de campagne-mergeuz. Dried sausages (socissons secs) I don't know because I make them myself, but I assume he has them too. His 6-7 rib entrecote is also top.
Tel: 032 511 894 and you can contact them in French or English. Payment is made by bank transfer.

At Big C extra on the super highway there is still a limited range of Casino French sausages including boudain but it is becoming less and less because Casino in Thailand has a number of
years ago was taken over by Big C. Unfortunately there is almost nothing left and has been replaced by very unsavory Polish and English meats and the rest of the ThaiGerman manufacturer.
An attempt by the French embassy last year failed. You had to order in packages that had to come from Bangkok but no one at BIG C knew how to do that, not even the manager. Casino is missed by many farang.

First of all thanks to Ton for revealing some unknown Farang addresses with ditto food (and RonnyLatYa's tip). You can never have enough of it despite the excellent Thai food.

The German Stolle from Schnidt is (indeed) delicious. Although no personal experience, for bread also think of Landhaus Bakery (landhaus-bakery-bangkok.com)

For (dry) sausage I refer you to Jet Italian deli (https://jetitaliandeli.com/), or La Charcuterie Francaise (lacharcuteriefrancaise.co.th), Francette (francette.in.th), Mister Cochon https://mistercochon.com/fr/products/saucisson-french-salami) also lives up to its name when it comes to dried sausage.

For inspiration and those who want to:
Cheeses and Iberico ham from Theo (https://theos-market.com/), Manston meat (manstonfoods-shop.com), other sausages at MG ASIA Grocery (https://mgasiagrocery.com/shop/), smoked products at Captain Hook's Smokehouse (https://chsmokehouse.com/), Paleo Robbie (paleorobbie.com) for a wide range, and of course https://dutchcheese4you.shop/ (carrier is now on holiday until January 6, 2025!).

To be honest, I have no experience with the above companies (yet), but I probably will use them at some point. That's why I already collected them.

Thanks everyone for the tips offered. Didn't think there would be such a wide range of BE/DE/FR/IT products in TH. Delicious. We're going to enjoy it.
