Dear readers,

Is it known what will happen at the coronation of the king, for example in the major cities of Bangkok, Chang Mai, Pattaya and Hua Hin? Is there some kind of program already?

Regards,

Ruud

  1. KhunBram says up

King Maha Vajiralongkorn, who succeeded his late father Bhumibol in November 2016, will be formally crowned king on May 4 – 6, 2019.
On May 4, he will receive the royal family, the Privy Council, the cabinet and top officials. A royal parade will be held in Bangkok on May 5 and the king will appear on the balcony of the palace's Phutthaisawan Prasat Throne Hall on May 6. Afterwards diplomats and guests will be received in the Chakri Maha Prasat Throne Hall.
