Dear readers,

Who can inform me whether to enter Thailand as a tourist by train from Vientiane to Nong Khai the same as going through the bridge or Bangkok airport?

Regards,

Hans G

Yes, it is always the same procedure.

Before you get on the train, get a Departure stamp at the immigration counter in the station.
Upon arrival in Thailand you will receive an Arrival stamp of 30 days at the immigration counter based on Visa Exemption or, if you have a visa, the corresponding period of stay.

It is nicely explained here with pictures and all
