Reader question: What about nightlife in Chiang Mai?
Dear readers,
We hear good stories about the North of Thailand such as Chiang Mai, beautiful nature, friendly people and so on. We wonder if you also have a nice nightlife there with enough bars?
We are used to Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket from there.
Who can say anything about that? Can you go out there or is there not much to do at night?
With kind regards,
Edward

the last time I was there there were still beer bars and gogos. all around loi kroh road.
I was in Chiang Mai two weeks ago and had quite a nice time there. We have been to the Spicy and to the Yellow and Zoe. That's two clubs. Meeting many tourists and many Dutch people was very nice. What is also fun to do is to the Muay Thai boxing match. We met a lot of people there and went out afterwards.
Hello Edward
I've been to chang mai few years back it's not as crowded as pattaya and phuket
But there is a large night market and in the evening you can go out
Only they are not as many bars as in Pattaya and nice and quiet during the day
You can also make various excursions
Have fun
Ben

No problem there's more drinking there than you've ever seen. and very nice people there and just as already described there is a large market in the new part and in the old part also a very large market. Well have fun there. Greetings.
There is plenty to do in Chiang Mai. With great bars and you can enjoy going out
SAJURI COMPLEX = this is similar to nana plaza
loi kroa road and of course the area of that world famous chiang mai city gate
Chiang Mai is very cozy and plenty of choice for you to have fun in the evening, you can quietly drink a beer at the John bar called John's place and of course riverside with live music
For me, Chiangmai has everything I dream of…….
Wonderful temperature, very friendly people and life is less hectic than the other well-known cities of Thailand ……..and my girlfriend lives there, so I come there often and it also gives me the feeling every time ……..that I come home.
