Dear readers,

I want to have a ceiling installed inside with good quality materials, they ask 30.000 baht. It is with everything in lighting, materials everything.

Is this a good price?

Regards,

It is quite expensive per square meter.

I think you better ask that question on e.g.
    Building in Thailand group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/416779518982533/
    and / or
Residential Construction for Expats Thailand: https://www.facebook.com/groups/727056641837249/
I think there is much more expertise there, but I advise you to be much more specific with your question. How many m² of ceiling, which materials, fixtures, electrical wiring (cable or tube, grounded or not)?

How big is the ceiling, and is this incl. removing the old ceiling, and what kind of material, and incl. painting? What is it worth to yourself, converted to euros not even 820 euros. I would not skimp too much, good is good and maybe a neighbor's cousin can do it cheaper if he is sober.
Just do it for that money if you know for sure that it will be done well, and calculate what the material costs are, and how many people are working and what they will earn. It won't be much and so what? Farang is frugal and thinks that he pays too much as a farang, give the Thai something too and see it as charity if they have worked for it. Give the workers a good tip afterwards if you are satisfied and enjoy your new ceiling.

If this is your 2 by 2 meter toilet then it is expensive but if it is an entire house then it is cheap.
What I would do, look at the hardware store to see what the materials would cost, estimate the number of working days times 500 to 1000 baht per man per day…and you have an estimate.
    Succes
