Dear readers,
I want to book a flight (one way) from Chiang Mai to Pattaya (U-Tapao) for the month of November. I have the most experience with AirAsia, which I think is a great airline. But now the flight hours do not seem opportune to me and I found Thai Lion Air's flight schedule better. Does anyone have experience with this low budget airline?
I have the problem that I cannot book the number of kg of luggage when booking, as with AirAsia… because I quickly need up to 25 kg and it seems to me that you can only claim a free 10 kg with Thai Lion Air booking. The rest must then be paid at check-in… 400 Baht per kg? Ridiculous. How do you fly to Pattaya? Or is it better with AirAsia to Don Muang and then taxi to Pattaya?
Thanks for the responses.
Regards,
Serge

3 weeks ago with Thai Lion Air from Bangkok DMK to Khon Kaen. That of those 10 kg luggage is not correct, it is just a maximum of 20 kg and 1 piece of hand luggage of max 7 kg. I assume that with more than 20 kg you will indeed have to pay extra. There is nothing wrong with society in itself, service is correct, flights are on time and are just as expensive or cheaper than Air Asia. In your case it might be better to fly to DMK, take public transport or taxi to the other airport and take the bus to jomtien / pattaya for 120 baht. Or a taxi directly from DMK, paid 1400 baht for that last time.
I have been flying with Thai Lion Air for a few years, excellent service and all new aircraft and excellent service!
used to fly a lot with them from Bangkok to Nakhon Si Thammarat. No complaints.
Take a look at the link below, and you will have all the data regarding overweight baggage at Thai Lion Air.

We have booked a flight for November 9 from Chiang Mai to Pattaya (UTP), departure 08.10:09.25 am, arrival 4:20 am. Costs for 7065 persons including 191,54 kg of room baggage XNUMX Bath (€XNUMX)
With AirAsia.
I fly back and forth between pattaya in chiang mai almost every week for work. I only have hand luggage but I prefer to choose airasia because this is all just a bit smoother.
