Flemings in Phuket?

Dear readers,

I don't live far from Rawai Beach, but I do need a car or motorcycle to get there, and back to Mother the (Thai) woman. I know, with appreciation, the West Flemish Viking Cafe/restaurant/brasserie, but nothing else that equals Flemish.

Are there other Flemish cafes or restaurants in the area (where in Phuket as well) where I could (sometimes) feel a bit at home? I am not homesick, but I am jealous of our French friends (France) who do come together every day to have lunch or to catch up, have a pint….. I would like to know where the hidden addresses are located.

My treat !

Regards,

Frank

    Hi Frank,
I recently went to Flavor Restaurant.
Top address for the Flemish. If I remember correctly, the chef is from Leuven. Ordinary Belgian fare at the top level.
Flavor Restaurant, Phuket Old city. V9PQ+532, Talat Nuea, Mueang Phuket District
    Tasty 🙂

Flavor Restaurant is now also a thing of the past. Different owner and different kitchen 🙁 Now called “VT” Chino-Portuguese.

The Shakers restaurant/pub has been run for more than 10 years by “Olivier” from Brussels, who is perfectly multilingual. Many Belgian and Flemish dishes are also on the menu.
