Home » Reader question » Reader question: What is the fastest way to get from Suvarnabhumi to Don Mueang?
Dear readers,
We are flying to Thailand in 3 weeks. We then land at Suvarnabhumi International Airport and from there we fly to South Thailand, to the city of Trang to visit some islands from there.
Can someone tell us the quickest and easiest way to get from Suvarnabhumi to Don Mueang and how long would it take?
Thanks in advance for your comments
Evert & Patricia
Simply take a taxi from the taxi desk outside the arrivals hall. Taxis are not expensive in Thailand
Rene is right, go down the escalators and you will automatically see a row of taxis, connect at the counter and within an hour you will be on Don Muang.
Don't be fooled by taxi drivers in the arrivals hall, they ask for the main price.
Hello Evert & Patricia
Why do you want to go to Don Muang, do you go from there to Trang airport with Nok air? because alternatively you can also fly directly from Suvarnabhumi BKK airways or Thai airways to Phuket, just an idea, maybe you can do something with it, you can take the shuttle bus that runs every hour between Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang and upon presentation of your ticket you can If you board for free, or by taxi, you will spend between 400 and 500 baht including the toll road, travel time about 1 minutes to XNUMX hour.
happy Holidays.
Moderator: This is against the rules. Thailandblog does not post advice that calls for a violation.
Just take a taxi meter, says: Pai Don Muang krap/Ka
Hallo,
The fastest and also the cheapest : with the SKYtrain from Subvarnabumi to Mochit (= Chatuchakmarket) and then take a taxi.
Yes, it is a bit faster and a bit cheaper, your travel time including skytrain and taxi is around 40 minutes and you will have lost about 250 baht, but with all their luggage it seems like a hassle to me.
That is the other airport where you should be. It is best to go to the ground floor when you arrive at bangkok airport, there you can order a taxi from a booth and it is quite cheap. I think they will take you to the other airport for a tenner in euros, I think it's an hour's drive at the most.
just take the free shuttle bus, easy, fast,
I just wanted to say why don't you just recommend the shuttle bus?
Or is it no longer running?
To Dongmuan in 20 minutes He waits until the bus is full and then starts driving
Did I already give advice, just look at tingtong, yes he still drives, only 20 minutes is a bit on the fast side I think, but could be (high speed bus?) For me it's been a few years since I been on this bus.
tingng
Just took shuttle bus 2 months ago. hour and free.
There is a bus downstairs that will take you there for free
And I thought it took about 2 hours
But ask for more info at the airport
Shuttle bus on (second) floor of arrival. Take exit 3. Upon presentation of your boarding pass from your flight to Suvarnabhumi, you have free entry. In 50 minutes (without traffic jams) you are on Don Mueang. I just did it myself three hours ago. Enough space for your suitcases. I say go for it!!!!
Great advice from the not sure?. Take a taxi as advice if there are free shuttle buses running?. How awkward.
To be sure, plan only 2 hours. Due to the crowds in the inner city, etc., this also works on the outskirts. Play it safe in this case. Have a good trip. If you are there too early, you have plenty of time for a nice beer. Are you too late bite into a sour apple.
Very simple and easy;
Free shuttle bus…why not take it?
Went to Don Muang this week – Taxis are currently unable to reach Mochit due to the actions.
It is better to get off 1 or 2 stations earlier (Saphan Kwai or Ari) and take a taxi from there.
Best regards… jef
