Can you book a car with driver to Hua Hin without a reservation upon arrival at Don Muang?
Dear readers,
Can you book a car with driver for a one-way trip to Hua Hin upon arrival at Don Muang, without prior reservation? I don't mean the regular taxis. There are several companies on the internet that offer this type of transport, but apparently you have to book in advance. I would rather do this upon arrival at the airport.
There is also mention of 1 piece of luggage per passenger. I can't find anywhere whether hand luggage (daypack) is also considered luggage.
Anyone have positive/negative experiences? Transport with a minivan is not offered here I think.
Regards,
Marniek

Yes there is.. I usually book my Fast Track with them, they are reliable and I have not had a single reason to complain in all those years. Below is the link from Don Muang to Hua Hin.

With best regards

Yes Michel, I also know several sites that offer this transport.
But Marniek's explicit request was for a taxi “without prior reservation”.
Hi Marniek,
Of course, at every airport you can book freelance taxis. (I always call them taxi cowboys.)
First of all you have to negotiate the price. And believe me, you will pay top dollar for it, I guess something between 3500 and 5000 baht.
Secondly, these are usually young boys who want to make that ride as soon as possible, because Time-is-Money,
so what about your sense of security?
I advise you to go from DMK to BKK by public bus (or regular meter taxi)
and from there book the Bangkok-Hua-Hin bus service. (Ground floor Suvarnabhumi airport, inside). Only 325 baht and a very relaxing ride.
Success.
I did it 2 weeks ago. Via the apps Bolt or Grab, a taxi will drive for you after a few mouse clicks and within a maximum. I had 2 hand luggages and a large suitcase with me. You can choose the type of taxi on the apps. You know the exact price in advance (between 1600 and 2000 baht). You pay cash or via the app or with your bank card. I don't know if you will be able to read this because I was already censored today. There was some sarcasm in my reaction and the moderators here do not understand that. Good luck!
Try Mr Rush before you leave. We were very pleased. Good price/quality. Only drives to and from airports. Have a good trip and enjoy.
