I am looking for a Thai tax expert in Ubon
Dear readers,
I will be filing my tax return in Thailand for the first time. I want a Thai tax advisor for this. Are there any bloggers who can recommend a reliable and expert tax advisor in Ubon?
Regards,
Glass

Dear Klaas
I have been doing it since the beginning that I am here in the Revenue Department in Ubon Ratchatani, it is close to the Immigration office, where I have been assisted for years and to my satisfaction, very well helped by a lovely lady who works there and she also arranges my RO 20 and 21 which are then sent later from the head office,
For more information email.
I have the same experience at the Revenue office in Ubon. I am also assisted by a lovely lady who also arranges RO21 and 22. which is usually sent 3 weeks later from Korat head office. What I do is prepare a spreadsheet with monthly income, copies of my bank books and I take my yellow house book with me. Been going there for years (before April 1st otherwise you get a fine) and never had any problems.

To get some insight you can download the Thai boolet 2023/2024.
This contains the rates, exemptions and deductions.
You only have to file tax returns on the money you earn here, wages or interest, and on the money you have to bring into Thailand, e.g. for your visa extension. You can also deduct demonstrable VAT from your return.

GeertG, I don't believe this: 'You can also deduct demonstrable VAT from your tax return'. Do you have a source for that? I'm very curious. That would be nice, but what is 'demonstrable'? Keep all receipts from Tesco and 7/11?
Furthermore you say 'about the money you have to bring into Thailand, for example for your visa extension'; well, fine.
not about pension and such? But maybe Klaas has a Belgian pension, then it could be…
My wife buys everything and gives her ID number when buying. She arranges my tax return and says that some paid VAT can be deducted. I indeed pay tax on 800k. So far between 10 and 12.000 thb.
If I had NON O marriage I probably wouldn't have to pay taxes here. Because I pay taxes here I have tax exemption in the Netherlands.
No tax has to be paid here on Belgian pensions that are in the bank in Belgium. What is stated in the tax treaty Belgium Thailand is unknown to me.
