Over the past two decades, Thailand has been a major destination for migrant workers from neighboring countries. As of November 2020, there were 2.323.124 registered migrant workers in Thailand. The conditions under which these people have to work are bad. They are underpaid, work long hours, do dangerous and unhealthy work, have few rights and are exploited.

I am in possession of a Non-Immigrant O e-visa (Multiple Entry), issued on September 21, 2023 with validity until September 20, 2024. Arrived in Thailand the next day on September 22, 2023. The stamp upon arrival from Immigration stated on my passport allows a stay of 90 days, so until December 20, 2023. I have been retired since last year and want to spend the winter in Thailand. The intention is to extend my visa by 90 days before December 20. That's my info. Please answer my next two questions.

Thailand may be the 'Land of Smiles', but there is little to smile about on the road. Thailand has the most road fatalities in ASEAN, according to the WHO's 2018 Global Status Report on Road Safety. The number of road fatalities per 100.000 persons is 32,7. That is considerably more than Vietnam, which is in second place in ASEAN with 26,4 road fatalities. Singapore is the safest with 2,8 casualties.
