Although the contents of his schoolbooks appear similar to those in the Netherlands, there are many unused pages that reveal that he did not learn much. His achievements at home and the gaps in his knowledge base confirm this. After previous successful interventions with a specially designed app, his ability to solve simple sums seems to have decreased again. Despite a lot of practice, his level is lagging behind and we are considering a change of school in the hope of better quality of education. This raises questions about the effectiveness of the current approach and whether a change of environment can be the key to improvement.
