On March 30, we published an appeal from Saranya Nihot, a student at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam, who was looking for a company that could help her with an assignment for marketing research in Thailand.
The call was previously posted on the Facebook page of MKB Thailand and today the good news came that Saranya Nihot has managed to make contact with a company that wants to help her.
Good example is good to follow
Romy Rozestraten, a third-year student at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, is now also making a similar appeal, she writes:
“Hello my name is Romy Rozestraten and I am a third year student at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam. I study international business and management and for that I was commissioned to do market research for a Dutch company in Thailand.
In November 2019 I will go to Bangkok for four weeks for this company and schedule meetings there with potential customers, producers and any other partners to advise this Dutch company about their opportunities in the region and to conclude partnerships for any collaborations, as this is difficult to organize from the Netherlands. I could also work as a representative for the company and present the products/services to potential partners. I can also go to fairs and business meetings and represent the company. Further options are of course negotiable.
I will do this project together with another Dutch student and a student from Thailand itself to overcome the language and culture barriers. At the end of the project, the company receives a report with advice and possible collaborations, including contact details.
Something for your company? Please send me an email via [email protected] for further questions and/or details and I hope I could be of service to your business.
Yours faithfully,
Romy Rozestraten”
Just like with Saranya, we hope that Romy will soon succeed in finding a company via Thailandblog.nl and MKB Thailand that will help her with her studies.
Who oh who?
I don't understand the request.
Dutch students want to do market research in Thailand for a Dutch company already established in Thailand? What value can the students add, because I assume that a company based here already has sufficient knowledge about the Thai market.
Am I perhaps reading it wrong?
“to conduct market research for a Dutch company in Thailand,” writes Romy.
The sentence is not quite correct, because it obviously means a market research in Thailand for one
Dutch company.
Incidentally, I doubt whether a Dutch company established here has sufficient knowledge by definition
has from the Thai market!
