It was again successful this week with prolonged rainfall, which means that the streets in Pattaya will soon be flooded. The nuisance experienced by traffic and the misery for residents of the streets in question is actually no longer news, we are used to it.

However, something special happened this time. At the intersection of Second Road and Pattaya South, large fish suddenly appeared in the pouring rainwater. Bystanders were soon there to catch the fish, good for sale and consumption. Although, I don't really know whether eating those fish from the brown dirty water is really that healthy.

Where those fish come from is of course not a question for the fishermen, trade is trade. Now that all the water has been drained, it is likely that the fish will be missed in a pond of a nearby temple.

The fish is all Catfish… really a dirty water fish. As sailors we called them shit baggers. Also crawl into sewers. Need little oxygen. If they come from clean water they are good to eat and I smoke them myself... Delicious.
