Wild tiger cubs have been seen in eastern Thailand for the first time in XNUMX years. The tiger family is captured on camera in a national park. This extraordinary incident gives hope for the future of the endangered species, say experts.

There are only an estimated 220 tigers left in Thailand and Myanmar. It is estimated that only 3900 tigers live in the whole of Asia, compared to 100.000 a century ago. The wild animals are threatened with extinction, partly due to poaching and trade in tiger bones, organs and pelts. The habitat of the wild animals has also been greatly reduced.

Dr. Suksawang of the national park is pleased with the sign of life of the animals. “But we must remain vigilant,” he says. “Because well-armed poachers remain a danger.”

This is of course wonderful news, but less wonderful is that those dirty poachers also read this news. I hope the population can grow in peace and poaching will be dealt with harshly.

Great news… let's hope that the population of poachers will decrease
