Have you ever experienced something special on a flight to Thailand, such as drunkenness, fights and more mile-high madness? This Skyscanner top 10 reveals the worst air passenger incidents.

1. A plumber with dirty videos
Plumber Ian Bottomley, 36, became extremely angry after being told not to watch adult movies on his computer. He attacked three flight attendants and caused €36.000 worth of damage during a 12-hour rampage on a British Airways flight from Johannesburg to Heathrow. He offered a passenger - a former soldier - to get out before he was finally overpowered, handcuffed and chained to a chair. The seats in front of him had to be removed so that he would stop banging his head. South African-born Bottomley was jailed for three years at Isleworth Crown Court in London.

2. First Class Banking Accident
Gerard Finneran, an American investment broker, went completely crazy in the First Class cabin of a United Airlines flight to New York after being refused a drink. Finneran, 59, headed to the food cart, dropped his pants and unabashedly pooped in front of everyone. He was sentenced to two years' probation and 300 hours of community service and ordered to pay the airline €36.500 for the cleaning bill and other expenses. Outside the courtroom, his lawyer stated that Finneran had "uncontrollable diarrhea and that what happened was an embarrassing incident."

3. Drunk housewife injures policeman
Aptly named housewife Carmel Beer was jailed for 18 months after a drinking incident on a British Airways flight from Montreal to London. Beer (50 years old) from Somerset, England, is said to have thrown red wine over the purser and tried to untie his tie. When he refused her more alcohol, she called a flight attendant in a rather discourteous manner and locked herself in the toilet with a bottle of whisky. After landing, three officers came to arrest her. She scolded them and kicked one of them so hard that he was sick at home for a while. Beer was convicted of assaulting the officers at Isleworth Crown Court.

4. Cops tase stripping man
A drunk passenger returning from Manchester on an easyJet flight from Malta last year was tasered by police after he stripped off the plane, urinated on the terminal and challenged the captain to a fight. Former postman Robert Scheer is said to have had too much to drink, became physical and abused fellow passengers. He received a hefty fine.

5. Drunk talk to stewards
Shortly after a British Airways flight departed from New York for London, the cabin crew noticed that 31-year-old Thomas Joyce had been drinking. After being denied more alcohol, he became pawing and aggressive. He was placed between two stewards and the captain instructed the crew that they could use handcuffs to restrain the passenger. When the two stewards tried and held him down, Joyce headbutted one of them. It took 10 restraints to finally tie him to the chair. Joyce went to jail for nine months.

6. Aperitif? Give me a bottle of hand soap
Russian-born artist Galina Rusanova was flying from Los Angeles to her home in London when she got drunk and started harassing other passengers. She finished a bottle of hand soap before kicking and punching the cabin crew and trying to bite like a dog. She was handcuffed and chained as the plane swerved to Bangor, Maine. Rusanova, 54, pleaded guilty on three counts in a US courtroom and was jailed for 21 days. She reportedly told FBI agents, “Typical thing for me. Sometimes I do crazy things.”

7. No sex please, we're on a plane
South African Airways launched an investigation after passengers complained about a couple having sex on an overnight flight from London to Johannesburg. The pair, reportedly drunk and half-naked in their seats, only stopped when the captain told them from the cockpit that the plane was not a "shag house."

8. Vinnie's Fight Club
Former football player and actor Vinnie Jones was sentenced to 80 hours of community service after he admitted assaulting an airline passenger and threatening members of the cabin crew. As passengers and crew tried to hold him down, Jones allegedly said, “I can get you killed. I can have the whole crew killed for €3.650. Jones allegedly hit a fellow passenger because he had indicated that Vinnie was annoying. Jones was ordered to pay the passenger €360 in compensation plus a €600 fine and costs.

9. Man in cell after urinating on passenger
A 66-year-old woman flew to Hawaii for a diving vacation. She was watching a movie when a man got up from his chair and started urinating all over her. Jerome Kenneth Kingzio admitted the accusation and was jailed for three weeks. The woman said her whole vacation was ruined. Besides her dress, of course.

10. Seat too far back escalates
An argument between two passengers about a seat that reclined too far escalated into a fight on the plane, which was later escorted by F-16s. The two men soon got into a fight on the United Airlines flight from Washington DC to Ghana after take-off. While passengers and crew separated them, the pilot decided to fly back to Washington.

In October I flew with KLM from Amsterdam to Bangkok. I was on the plane with an English couple, who had already had quite a bit of alcohol. Halfway through the flight, the woman went completely crazy. She screamed and cursed all together, especially at her husband. Twice the flight attendants took her to a separate room, where she came out calmly after a while, but not for long. In the meantime, almost everyone who was sleeping had woken up.
The third time I couldn't calm her down. A co-pilot and a burly business class stewardess then handcuffed her to a room. The captain reported the incident to Bangkok in accordance with the regulations. At the airport the police were ready to arrest her.
I admired the calm, controlled approach of the crew.

Not on a flight to Bangok. But because the examples cited also have nothing to do with Thailand, …… A penny in the pocket. Amsterdam to Miami with Martinair in 1996.

It concerned a full plane that also included a mother with a child who clearly showed all the symptoms of ADHD / PDD-NOS. For the uninitiated among us; a child who can be very busy, very annoying. Especially on an airplane. It's the mother's job to do something about it. And he was just like; "we're on a plane, young can't go anywhere, leave me alone."
So that child ran through the entire plane until annoying. Climbed in places where it was not allowed to go. shouted the whole plane together. Driven staff and passengers insane. Had it been a bus, I'm sure the driver would have stopped on the way to put mother and child off the bus. Until it suddenly became very quiet. For 10 minutes. And then the "disorder" broke out. Panic from one of the toilets on board this flight. Screaming, screaming, stomping against the inside of that toilet. Flight attendants – and the mother – knew right away who was causing this commotion. The child had apparently panicked and could not open the toilet door. Stewardesses can arrange that from the outside and that happened. And what happened next defied all reality and was complete madness. That kid broke down the whole toilet. But that wasn't the worst of it. There was shit everywhere. Throughout the toilet cubicle. On the floor, the toilet itself, the walls and the ceiling were completely smeared with shit. And the smell of it immediately permeated the whole plane. And of course just when the food was served.
You can feel sorry for such a child. But the whole plane hated the mother wholeheartedly. Also because she kept hiding behind the child and did not want to recognize her own responsibility in this.

The damage will have been manageable. But this was by far the most disastrous flight I have ever experienced!

This has to do with the people in question and not with alcohol, I also drink on the plane but I never bother anyone.
You can drink, but there are people who do not know the limits and those people must be forbidden by law to drink because everything has its limit.
