About the Day of the Entrepreneur 2020 in Thailand
On December 10, the Day of the Entrepreneur in Thailand took place, which was the opportunity for the Thailand Business Foundation to open the Meeting Point of the Foundation in Hotel Mermaid, where (future) entrepreneurs in Thailand can obtain information by appointment about doing business in Thailand or meeting for business meetings.
The Meeting Point was opened by the Dutch ambassador to Thailand, Kees Rade.
Ambassador Rade then presented a special certificate on behalf of Thailand Business and MKB-Nederland to Dutch entrepreneurs who are making their way in Thailand. It is a certificate for courage, creativity and perseverance. The 8 entrepreneurs who received a certificate this year are:

- Michel Rosmolen (Genoise)
- John Hus (Eco-Agri)
- Koen Seynaeve (Chocolate Boulevard)
- Peter van Vliet (LSS Logistics Support Services)
- Peter van Dijk (Management Consultant van Dijk Co., Ltd)
- Martijn Bolhoeve (Say Cheese Hua Hin)
- Andre Breuer (Recreational Bangkok Biking)
Will the 'Day of the Entrepreneur' become a tradition in Thailand? For the time being it looks like it, because a large number of Dutch and Flemish entrepreneurs met in Bangkok. Of course there were congratulations in The Captain's Pub of Hotel Mermaid, there was live music by singer Athalie de Koning and her combo, but useful business information was also exchanged, luckily there was a lot of laughter and catch-up where necessary. It also hinted that Thailand Business will be even more active next year. The schedule includes speaking engagements, networking drinks, a pub quiz, a cooking course, go-karting and sea fishing. That is promising!
