Company Geonoise Thailand, grown almost silently
One of the newer members of Stichting Thailand Zakelijk is Geonoise, which we would like to introduce to you. Geonoise does sell a very special product, namely….silence!
“We at Geonoise try to make it all a bit quieter with acoustic advice, sound meters, software and high-quality sound insulation and anti-drumming products,” says Geonoise founder and owner Michel Rosmolen
History
Geonoise Thailand was founded in 2002 in Udon Thani as an acoustic consultancy, but the first 3 years there were no (zero!) customers! The market in Thailand was simply not ready for it yet. Gradually, Geonoise also started selling instruments, instruments that analyze sound as well as software that can analyze and predict sound.
The present
Now after 17 years, Geonoise has offices in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh, Yangon, Hong Kong, Bangalore and Dhaka.
Geonoiser is all about noise and vibrations and especially limiting them. Geonoise now takes on turnkey projects, some examples are: building an acoustic 'dead chamber', setting up a sound laboratory, sound insulation in the automotive industry, abatement of noise nuisance in homes. condos, apartments, offices, etc.
Awareness
One of the tasks that Michel Rosmolen has taken on since the opening in 2002 is to create awareness in Southeast Asia about the dangers of exposure to (excessively) high noise and vibration levels. Michel says: “Noise pollution is much more than just a nuisance! Everywhere (especially here in Southeast Asia) it is very noisy and there is a glaring lack of legislation and, if there is any, enforcement! We at Geonoise try to make it all a bit quieter with acoustic advice, sound meters, software and high-quality sound insulation and anti-drumming products.”
Finally
If you have any questions, you can contact Michel directly at [email protected] or via their website www.geonoise.com. You can also wait until the next cocktail evening of Stichting Thailand Zakelijk, where Michel will undoubtedly be present.
