There is a separate day for everything: a Construction Day, Secretary's Day, Mother's Day. But there was no 'Day of the Entrepreneur' yet. And this while there are many entrepreneurs who add enormous value to our country with their company. MKB-Nederland believes that entrepreneurs deserve respect for their efforts and that there should be a moment when attention is paid to the interests of entrepreneurs.

That is why MKB-Nederland has declared every third Friday of November 'Entrepreneur's Day'. In 2019, Entrepreneur Day will be celebrated on Friday 15 November with numerous local activities. More information can be found at www.dagvandeondernemer.nl/over-dvdo

Day of the entrepreneur in Thailand

The Thailand Business Foundation (formerly MKB Thailand) enthusiastically joins in with a special evening for Dutch entrepreneurs and those interested in doing business in Thailand. That “party night” to celebrate the Day of the Entrepreneur in Thailand will take place on November 15 from 16 pm at 'The Hangover' in Sukhumvit Soi 22.

In addition to a few speeches, the Thailand Business Foundation highlights a number of Dutch entrepreneurs by awarding certificates. A beautiful looking certificate, neatly framed, is intended as a recognition for courage, creativity and perseverance and will be personally presented by our ambassador in Thailand, Mr. Kees Rade.

Everyone is welcome to help put the spotlight on Dutch entrepreneurs in Thailand. Of course there will be plenty of opportunity that evening to exchange experiences with other (starting) entrepreneurs or to make new contacts while enjoying a snack and a drink.

    I am not against an entrepreneur's day in Thailand but would like to see more days for living beings who greatly contribute to the prosperity and happiness of many in Thailand. I mention here:

    – the day of the taxi driver
    – the day of the taxi-moped driver
    – the day of the bargirl
    – the day of the ex-bargirl
    – the day of the expat
    – the day of the elephant (oh…it is already here)
    – the day of the stray dog
    – the day of the serpent
    – the day of the loan shark
    – the day of the plastic surgeon
    – the day of the State Lottery ticket seller
    – the day of the mom and dad shopkeeper
    – the day of the ladyboy
    and not to forget:
    – the day of the immigration officer.
