The Meteorological Department has warned of showers in large parts of Thailand in the first half of the week, with the rain set to intensify by the end of the week.

Almost all regions in the country are affected by the combined effects of a heavy monsoon over the Andaman Sea and a monsoon trough that spans Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam.

It will rain daily in Bangkok for the next five days.

Last night in relatively dry Pattaya around 20.00 p.m. a heavy rain shower of an hour.
In Soi Khau Noi the water was knee high, but later in the evening this was resolved again.
Only the TV reception gave a problem after a few thunderous thunderstorms.
During the day in Pattaya, Jomtien and Huaiyai it remains warm.

What you call hot. It usually stays below 30 degrees and I find that quite chilly. Not to say cold. I have lived in Nongprue for 12 years now and have had air conditioning installed in our house on the recommendation of friends. Why ????? Never used.
