Not only water plagues Ayutthaya province, but also garbage. That waste comes from five landfills and it floats here and there in the province.

The evacuation centers also face a waste problem; the center on the grounds of the Provinciehuis produces 1 ton per day. To combat the stench, EM balls (effective micro-organism) are placed in it.

On Sunday, water from two canals, which receive water from the Pasak River, broke through their levees, flooding Factory Land Wang Noi Industrial Park.

Factory Land, a relatively small industrial area, has 93 factories with 8.500 employees. It is the fifth industrial estate in Ayutthaya to be flooded. Most factories produce electronic components for the larger Rojana industrial estate, which was previously flooded, and other sites.
