That Thailand is a violent country, as this week's statement of the week on Thailandblog would have us believe, is today confirmed by the reports of the gruesome murder of the Japanese, who had been missing since September 21.

The 79-year-old teacher was killed by his Thai girlfriend and her boyfriend. They chopped up his body and dumped it in the Khlong Nang Thim in Samut Prakan.

After the woman confessed on Tuesday, divers recovered four bags of human remains from the water yesterday. DNA testing must show whether it concerns the Japanese. This will still cause some problems because the body parts are already in a state of decomposition.

[The newspaper writes a few lines further that the woman and her boyfriend have denied murdering the man. He would have died of shock.]

The case has prompted police to re-investigate the death of a Japanese businessman. [year missing] The former husband of the woman died after a fall down the stairs. Police at the time attributed the death to his heart defect. The family doubted that conclusion because the woman received a payment of 3 million baht from his life insurance policy.

    In my opinion, the best life insurance policy is to give away all your money and property.

      I think it would be better to spend the money on good food and good care. You worked for it, not the relatives. They just argue about it; Greed leads to many stupidities.

    Of all the wisdoms I have only remembered 1 and that is;

    “Make sure you are worth more alive than dead”

    There are too many who lost their lives because they were worth more dead than alive
