Bangkok was treated to heavy downpours last night, causing flooding that was fortunately short-lived. Traffic came to a standstill, causing traffic chaos.

It started raining at 18.00 pm in a part of Thon Buri on the west side of the Chao Phraya River. Then the rain spread. According to the Bangkok Metropolitan Flood control Center, the most rainfall recorded in Thawi Watthana (32,5 millimeters).

The rain caused traffic jams on the main roads and secondary roads in the capital, especially in the vicinity of Rangsit.

An elderly man was injured when strong winds knocked down a tree in Lumpini Park. His condition is unknown. The man was taken to Lertsin Hospital.

Yes, yesterday it was quite raging again, a mountain of water also fell in Lak-Si last night.

But here the streets could handle it well, also thanks to the extra pumps that are strategically placed to pump it from the sewerage, the water, directly into the klong.

Isn't that a typo 32,5 millimeters is less than 3,5 cm, it seems to me that the drainage in Bangkok can still handle that…, right?

Yesterday afternoon (13/7) a lot of water fell from the sky again.
Fortunately, just like the day before, no problems in LadPhrao 101, because the drain was able to swallow it quite easily.
