'About 1 foreigners will be allowed to travel to Thailand from July 50.000'

From July 1, Thailand will relax the travel ban imposed during the corona crisis. That does not mean that tourists are allowed to travel en masse to the Land of Smiles again.
The first group of foreigners to allow Thailand back in are business people, craftsmen, experts, people with a Thai family, teachers, students and medical tourists. The 14-day quarantine measure also applies to this group. CCSA spokesperson Taweesilp announced this on Wednesday. 50.000 foreigners are expected to visit Thailand, including 30.000 medical tourists.
Another group consists of businessmen and investors on a short visit and guests of the government and public services. They will be tested for Covid-19 before departure and on arrival, must have adequate travel health or medical insurance and be monitored by medical staff.
It is expected that tourists from safe countries (such as Korea, Japan and New Zealand) will be able to travel to Thailand in early August, or earlier. The conditions under which this is possible are still being worked out.

What is meant by medical tourists??
It is understood to mean people who have an appointment for an operation or a check-up after an operation, most of them come from Arab countries who could previously end up in America.
But since they are strict in America, for example, if your name is Mohammed or Fatima, all alarm bells (since 911) will ring, so they now come to Thailand with their entire entourage.
But of course also Europeans who have an appointment in a hospital and can demonstrate that they actually have to undergo an operation or an operation.
May I also mention another problem
I live in Udonthani
Viettienne is about 60 km from here.
Of course the rich laos people have been coming to buy in Udonthani for years at central plaza, globe, homepro ec
The better things they don't have there
These big businesses live off this for 50% of their sales
Yes, and the private hospitals too
Of course, this group of rich Thai interests also calls for relaxation
It's about money
So hopefully that will change as well
Yes, hotels, restaurants, etc. for this group miss a large part of their income
Gr Peter
People who want to undergo medical treatment in Thailand. An industry that the Thai government wants to promote.
My wife is Thai. Consequently, I also have a Thai family. Am I among the candidates?
They are no longer coming. If you take a zero off you might not even get in the direction….
Good afternoon,
My wife is Thai, I am Belgian and we have a daughter together. We live and work in Belgium but also have a house in Thailand where we normally go twice a year. Which group do we actually belong to? Can we, as a mixed family, travel to Thailand soon or not... it is not really clear to me since they say that people with a Thai family are allowed to travel, but we live in Belgium so... any ideas?
thanks in advance
I think you are a tourist, if your wife and child were living in Thailand and you were waiting in Belgium to go to your family, you could easily come, also think about your insurance against covid 19
Suppose I belong to the 50.000 candidates. Can I then order a plane ticket, in other words, will the Thai government grant a kind of 50k Specilal Permit?
Suppose you book a flight and upon arrival it is determined that you are number 50001, will they return it?
And how do the airlines react when ordering a ticket?
I know: never ask WHY!
For everyone impatiently waiting for the liberating word, please be patient just a little longer.
I don't know if I've mentioned it before, but I have a very reliable crystal ball.
About one more month to wait and then news will be announced which not only makes entry easier, but also makes the life of the 2nd rank farang who lives here a lot more pleasant.
What is meant by the term business people, is it sufficient, for example, that a Thai factory sends you a “Letter of invitation” confirming that you have an appointment to visit their factory?
A VISIT to a Thai factory does not make you a businessman, you will not get a visa for that.
50.000/day?
50.000/month?
14 days quarantine in a military hotel or at home?
All very unclear.
