The Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) today agreed to relax the advice for wearing a face mask and the night catering industry may remain open until 2.00 a.m.

The CCSA meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, wants to speed up the relaxations, which will take effect when published in the Royal Gazette. A spokesperson previously said the target date for the adjustment was July 1.

The relaxations of the Covid-19 measures are:

  • All 77 provinces are designated as Covid green zones.
  • Extending the closing hours of entertainment venues, pubs, bars, karaoke bars and similar catering establishments from midnight to 02.00 a.m.;
  • Mouth caps are allowed off.

In busy and poorly ventilated areas such as public transport, markets and concert halls, wearing face masks remains mandatory.
