The Thai police, which is investigating the smuggling and trafficking of refugees in the south of the country, comes with a remarkable message. A major general of the army is said to be involved in these illegal activities. The police would even have evidence for it, but do not dare to take action because they are afraid of the consequences of the military junta.
Evidence proving the possible involvement of this military top man would have been found during a raid on the house of a suspect. The evidence consisted of four copies of money transfers to a soldier's bank account.
According to an anonymous source, it is inevitable that military personnel are involved because there are many military checkpoints in the area. Yet the traffickers and the migrants were able to pass through these checkpoints without difficulty, which is rather strange to say the least.
Army commander Udomdej Sitabutr says the army is ready to investigate. There were before military personnel transferred from the area. It is unclear why and what their involvement is.
Prayut, as usual, reacted with irritation to the report and asks the media to give him the name of the suspected general.

The annoying thing is of course that if the media releases the name of this soldier they will probably be charged with deflamation!
Moderator: We'll post it as a reader's question tomorrow.
Brave from editors Bangkok Post..!!
Looking forward to its effect…
If the name is not released, then that is of course also defamation for Prayut. The truth always hurts, so the best thing is an anonymous whistleblower in this case, so that an investigation can be started.
