The Thai Prime Minister has expressed optimism about a possible investment by Tesla, the leading electric vehicle manufacturer, in Thailand. This positive expectation follows a recent post on the social media platform X, in which the Prime Minister referred to a conversation with top Tesla officials. He revealed that more than 2 million orders have already been placed for the Cyber Truck, which is the highest number of pre-orders for any Tesla model to date.

During a visit to the Tesla factory, the Prime Minister personally experienced the Cyber Truck. In his tweet, he expressed hope that Tesla would soon start assembly operations in Thailand. This statement followed his visit to the United States for the APEC summit earlier this month.

Thai government spokesperson Chai Wacharonke explained that the government is actively making efforts to encourage Tesla to invest in Thailand. According to Chai, the Prime Minister has spoken with Tesla twice since taking office, with the first meeting taking place on September 20 during the UN meeting in New York.

These conversations also included a virtual meeting with Tesla CEO Elon Musk and other company executives, focusing on clean energy initiatives. The Prime Minister is confident that the goals of the Thai government and Tesla are aligned, especially in promoting environmental sustainability for a better future. The Thai government stands ready to support Tesla's investments in the country and looks forward to further cooperation.

Here too there is political posturing about electric mobility. EVs will not determine the future in Thailand either. Why don't those politicians watch all those videos like Mguy in Australia or videos of the CEO of Ford and Volkswagen and Toyota. Also tons of videos available from English vloggers. American dealers don't lose their EVs on the streets. Insurance premiums are going up enormously and because of the fire risk, EVs must be kept well apart from each other in garages. They are too expensive for ordinary Thais and why do those people have to pay to make subsidies possible for those who can afford it??
but politicians keep insisting that it is good for the environment. But let's assume it will work out!! and we all drive in an EV, then of course we will laugh with SongKran when half of Thailand moves from north to south and they all have to charge. It's already a big mess during those days!

For some the glass is always half empty and for others it is half full.
If all car brands switch to EVs, I assume that a lot of thought has been given to this, or would they all be wrong?
The sometimes laughable stories on the internet that really do everything they can to thwart electric driving will ultimately come out on the short end of the stick.
I also think that the Prime Minister is doing very well, in the few months that he has been in office he has already done more for Thailand than his predecessor did in 9 years, with this Prime Minister Thailand is ready for the future.

No, that really wasn't thought through!! Just watched a new video on YT: HUGE NEWS
Joe Biden warned to shut down!! It's about the American EV market. See for yourself, it's not funny at all! Can you imagine it: Bangkok with its millions of cars? How many chargers will not be needed and do you live in such a gigantic apartment where do you want to charge and also hope that they work?? I will not claim that electric driving will never be possible, but at the moment it is far from feasible and the car industry will have to come up with cheaper, reliable and with a longer range if people want to switch to EVs, but as the video says, the car manufacturers have put everything in a lower gear and dealers are complaining a lot.
Moreover, people do not want to be forced by politicians to buy an EV

Think a smart strategic move by the Thai Prime Minister. Tesla is a company that does so much more than EVs. Think of fast chargers, energy storage and alternative forms of energy. Why not talk to Elon Musk? This is simply part of the energy transition, I recently heard on BNR that only two percent of all cars worldwide are EVs. And don't forget: sister company SpaceX owns satellites with which you can use the internet and shoots rockets into the sky for clients such as NASA.
