Dutch residence permit price too high

The Netherlands charges too much for issuing residence permits to persons from non-EU countries. This was ruled by the European Court of Justice on Thursday.

The case was brought before the European Commission, which believes that the Netherlands charges too high so-called legal fees.

According to European regulations, the Netherlands has a lot of scope to determine for itself how much money it charges for the issuance of documents. But that space is not unlimited, according to the court. It finds that the amount for a permit in the Netherlands varies between 188 and 830 euros.

However, the court states that the amount should not be so high that it deters people who do not have sufficient financial resources.

Moreover, according to the court, the amount of the license should not form an obstacle to obtaining the rights attached to the license. According to the court, this is the practice in the Netherlands. The fees are “excessive and disproportionate”.

Hi, what can you do with this? Is it better to wait before applying for an mvv or is the Netherlands simply not going to do anything with this.
I think all the prices that the Netherlands charges are too ridiculous for words, take the integration exam here they ask 350 euros for it, the exam is done with a computer and computer calculates passed or not how can they dare to ask for so much money.
After this, the other process begins, having the documents translated and legalized, many Thai names are traded for translation and a Thai stamp 25 euros per document. After this, to the Dutch embassy 25 euros per document.
I have to hand over 10 documents, this is again 500 euros, that is 850 euros in total and we are not one step further. After this, the IND asks to transfer 1250 euros for visa after arrival in the Netherlands, again 350 to apply for a residence permit, ticket and insurance. All in all, we are around 3300 euros lighter to bring your girlfriend to the Netherlands.

Does anyone know if it is mandatory to have the name transfer document and house book translated and handed over. The IND only asks for a declaration of unmarried status, but the embassy asks more.

My love is eligible for naturalization. Those cookie bakers from the IND dare to ask 798 euros for this plus six months to a year waiting time. So after those 350 euros for the integration exam abroad, 830 euros for the MVV application, 188 euros for the VVR, now you have to pay another 798 euros for naturalization.

We just do it and then we're done. But it's really criminal. My girlfriend has a job in elderly care, pays taxes properly and makes the elderly feel good. I think it's absurd that the government dares to ask such crazy high amounts. But what do you do about it?
