Farmers can get help from the Ministry of Commerce during the harvest months of November and December. By means of a subsidy from the ministry, harvesters can be rented at a reasonable price.
The advantage of this method is that the rice harvest can be taken off the land faster, so the rice is of better quality and will therefore yield more money. Private owners of harvesters are allowed to rent them out at the lowest possible price, said government spokesman Buddhipongse. The remainder of the rent will be reimbursed by the ministry.
According to Buddhipongse, the price of rice will reach a record high this year. In any case, Prime Minister Prayut thinks they are higher than last year. He has instructed all services to educate farmers about sustainable cultivation methods so that they are assured of an income all year round.
The high-quality hom mali rice is expected to yield 16.000 to 17.000 baht per ton. The other types of rice also score high prices, according to Buddhipongse.

We also have rice ourselves, but the above arrangement is completely unknown here in Isaan (KhonKaen).

Our rice will probably have to be harvested within a fortnight.
The rice is also looking good in Chaiyaphum and we are not turning down subsidies. Perhaps the original link from the Bangkok Post can be given? After a long search I couldn't find anything about this in the Bangkok Post.
This year, 800 baht per rai would be the usual price for harvesting the rice, if 200 baht can be reduced, that is a sip on a drink.

I wonder how that will be arranged here, Here in Chaiyaphum they are already busy, they have been busy for a week from early in the morning until late at night.
