The Meteorological Department warns residents in northern Thailand that the weather is about to change. The temperature will rise by 3 to 5 degrees until Sunday, but it will drop a few degrees on Monday and Tuesday and the wind will increase. Motorists should expect fog in the morning.

The provinces in the Northeast will be the first to deal with the weather changes. Residents of Bangkok and neighboring provinces can also expect rain in the coming days.

The northeast monsoon over the Gulf of Thailand and the South is decreasing, causing wind and waves in the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea to calm down. But on Monday and Tuesday, the monsoon will pick up again and more rain and waves of two meters are predicted.

Warm clothing and blankets have been distributed in eighteen districts of Kalasin. The elderly and children in particular suffer from the cold. In the mountain areas of Kalasin the temperature drops to 8 to 10 degrees.
